The pear is much deflated!!! B)

I may give the potato sack a go and see if I can make it happen, fashion-wise! Soon, all the kids will be wearing one.

Trust me - you'd make a potato sack look good.

Thanks, CJ! I look forward to seeing your photos next year :)

I was at a beach hotel for the weekend (anniversary). We were going to go to the resort where that DJ died (if you saw that news story this weekend), and ended up at this one at the last minute - pretty glad, as a police investigation doesn't sound that romantic...

We'll have to go to that resort at a later date - it's beautiful and has a way better beach than where we ended up.

Another wedding next weekend...and I'm back for advice. Does this work for an outdoorsy, casual event?

Old Navy size XL. Blows my mind this fits...

You look great! ON has some really good options for dresses.

What’s up with all the weddings?!

I think your choice of bold earrings and no necklace is a good one with this dress and an outdoor casual event. I might add a bracelet or statement ring for a bit of extra polish. You look like you must have found the holy grail: an effective strapless bra! Good for you. They scare the heck out of me. I probably ought to put that on my shopping list though.

I'm from a really tiny town so we go in waves. This year i will have 3 weddings. Some years it is 5-6!

Oh the bra shopping was a nightmare. I hadn't tried strapless since I was a 46 bust. Went to Lane Bryant and tried three styles...and about nine sizes. I was exhausted but I think they will stay put!  The experience definitely put a check in the "I need to get these fixed pro column."

My husband was terribly confused by the whole thing as I kept going up and down to find the right combination of band and cup since they didn't have the one I needed in the style I wanted. Thank goodness it was 40% off, so was everything at ON!

Since I live a long way from home, I just about never go to weddings!

Good for you for finding a bra that works. And for finding a husband who at least took some sort of part in the hunt??? Wow. He's a keeper. Sister sizes are totally confusing, to be sure. 40% is the right way to go, especially if your weight isn't stable.

You just look like a hat person. For some reason, I feel that one would go quite well with that dress. Although you do look absolutely stunning as is.

I wore this bright ”sherbet” color dress to work the other day and got so many compliments.  I teamed it w/ a bright sweater/belt bc it was sleeveless.   I would have never worn it before (I sported more of the “hide in black style”!) but everyone loved it. I’m getting more comfortable with clothes the smaller they are

Very cute outfit, with a great color combination. I like it!

It's fun to start being more adventurous with clothing. I find that very few people feel like they can "pull off" bright colors and bold looks, so it's fun to be that person.

I love it Cheering!

Like you, I was very much tried to hide behind dark colours but that outfit is like a ray of sunshine.  Congratulations!

Liz, the one funny thing is I’ve always had tiny wrists!  Even close to 250 I had very small wrists. My watches, bracelets and fitness bands always had to be small. I grew up believing I was big boned, (bc it matched the weight chart better) but then I read how you can tell by wrapping your hand around your wrist and big boned ppl can’t touch their fingers, average and small ppl can...I have always been able to overlap my  thumb to completely occlude my middle finger nail. So somewhere inside of me is a tiny boned person trapped in a fat body. My sister is very tiny (but also only 5’ tall) and I’m average 5’4” so I don’t think of myself as tiny but eveidently I am, on the inside.

So here’s my goodwill deal.  My size 14 capris (and actually it was good that they were only $3.99 bc they won’t fit for long bc I see they are a bit baggy already) and my size 10(!!!!) $2.99 blouse!!!  $7 for the whole outfit!  Now size 10s don’t really for me, that was a fluke but I wanted the tag to stick up so someone would have to fix it and see ;)

i am super fearful of slipping back up and gaining weight after this honeymoon period is over so I decided to keep taking pics of me in my new (bargain) clothes so I will remember where I want to be and fight off the inclination to go up again!  (So just bear with me. I figure posting it here will force me to be accountable!)

and yes, in the middle of a heat wave, I wore sleeveless in public!!! Haha!
