I know most of you ladies are now having issues with your bras. I obviously need to be professionally fit now but please share the wealth. I prefer a bra with an under wire, although I feel the wire more now than ever. Still my preference.

Let us know what kind you have found that holds them up and off your knees..

I've been wearing the "Genie Bra" which I like better than the "Ah Bra" but mostly just under t-shirts and at home. However, my favorite bra is Maidenform 07549. It's pretty, it has an underwire, it holds up the girls and covers the underarm bulge.

I have fallen in love with the balconette bras from Lane Brayant. I have one non-underwear and it is sooo comfy right now. I do wear the wired outside the house but once I am in the house I take it off.

It took a few weeks to find one I liked and felt right. I ended up wearing Body By Victoria. It has the under wire and conforms to the shape of my breast after I have it on.They are very confortable. I never thought I would wear anything from VS, but I do love this bra.

I'm struggling right now to find bras that fit. My former 44C is down to a 40B. Do you know how hard it is to find a B cup in a plus size bra???

If you guys have Lane Bryant's Cacique store, I suggest going in. They have bra fitters that work there. I was concerned a bit about how respectful of privacy they would be, but in 2 seconds, I was at ease. They have plus sizes even in an A cup, and their convertible T-shirt bra is a God send for me. I can even wear it as a strapless all day without falling out! The only down side is that I'm not sure how low they go, once you're out of the plus size range. After that, I'm at a loss.....but can't wait to find out!

Getting a bra to fit has been a constant headache for me as I have zero breast tissue - just skin. I wear a 32C but my breast skin just sits in the bottom of the cup with no fullness on the top.

The Ahh Bra by Rhonda Shear and Genie bras have been the most comfortable but they pretty much just flatten me.

I know that you can buy inserts but the ones I've tried either end up making me feel sweaty and/or they don't stay in place.

If you haven't gone to Victoria's Secret yet, run, don't walk, to the nearest store for a fitting. When you go in, they will measure you properly. Then they will bring you a BOX of bras to try on. They will communicate with you to see if you need to go up a cup size or down a band size. But, trying on all those bras in one shot will help you get an idea of what works for you. I think Body by Victoria is what I chose, too. But in a demi bra. I really wanted something that pushed things up a bit more, but found that it really just pushed the loose skin over the top... yuck! I found it amazing how differently the many bras fit and could not imagine going through a department store by myself to sort through things. VS did most of the work for me and I feel soooo much better with a couple of nice bras that fit.

I just bought a bra by Bali, underwire, and it claims "Amazing Lift." I don't know if it's "amazing" but it did hoist things up a bit and was pretty comfortable. . .it's got some kind of stitching on the underside/outside of the cup that is supposed to provide more support - I fully sympathize with everyone having trouble with this issue. No fun.

I am a 44G right now. I'm gotta get a bra withOUT underwire, because I have one incision between my breasts.

Can anyone recommend a great bra website/store?

Thanks!

Same here, I have an Ah bra but mostly I wear my sports bras, they're a bit more forgiving.

Soma was fabulous and offers more sizes and styles than Lane Bryant (as you move down in size) . I was also more comfortable there than Vicky's as there were real size women working and shopping there.

I am dealing with bra nightmares. ha ha.

I have found I need to have "lift" and "full cup" coverage. No demi bras for me. My boobs are deflated and the demi just pushes the lose skin to flow over the top of the cup. Icky. he full cup helps keep the rounded breast form that I want, even though the actual boob is a blobby mess just melting into the bottom of the cup. Lift helps hold them up and make them appear to be wear they should be verses at my tummy or knees. :)

I found one at JC Penneys but i cannot recall the name. Unfortunately it does not fit me now, and I am back to bra hunting.

I went to Victoria Secrets and had a bra fitting. It was expensive and frustrating. They did not have any bras that fit well. I ended up settling for acceptable.

I wear a 34DD. I have found one 34D that fit nice at Walmart.

UPDATE ON MY ABOVE POST!!!!!

I've found that the Genie bra comes with removable pads. That has solved the issue of the bra just flattening my breast skin.

I bought a medium but had to return it for a small. It's THE best bra I've tried to date. It's a snug fit, doesn't ride up when I lift my arms and it's given me some much needed shape.

eBay is a good source - I got one for $7.90 with free s/h: http://www.ebay.com/itm/XS-M-L-XL-2X-3X-4X-Genie-Bra-with-removable-pads-one-bra-free-ship-/170869393205?pt=US_CSA_WC_Intimates&var=&hash=item27c89c0735

I'm going to buy the "buy 3 get 3 free + free s/h" from Genie Bra's website - a little more expensive but the colour choices are good: http://www.geniebra.com/features.php

I'm in love with Victoria's Secret too... The girl that helped me was wonderful and stuck by me to find the right fit and coverage I needed. I've gone from the Cacique brand at Lane Bryant in a 48C down to VS 38DD. I like a full cup -- yeah, it's mostly skin... 45 years of gravity and 2kids took their toll --and VS has a great full cup, lightly padded so the girls are nice & smooth. Victoria is my friend!

Checked out the Genie bra and went to their web site to order. You get roped into a speal trying to sell you thinks you do not want. I insisted no, I do not want a trip to the Bahama or the dinner value plan, etc... I am looking forward to getting the bras to try.

** My Genie Bras came in, and I tried them on. I will be returning them pronto. I was not happy. I had no support from them. They would be comfortable to sleep in, but i do not sleep in a bra.

Tonight i saw genie Bras at Walmart. I suggest you try the ones at Walmart before spending money on ordering them. It is in the "As seen on TV" section.

SlimSmitty -

try figleaves.com . They have full figure and G,H, I, J cups.

I ordered a number of bras from them (im currrently a 38G/H) and have had pretty good results. They ship from the UK with a flat shipping of $4-6 bucks. So pretty good. For strapless bras I went to Cacique, perfect there.

Have you tried the bras that have the padding inserts that go in the bra but towards the outside of your breast? They kind of push them up and in, creating more fullness on top. I was too large to wear those before, but I am finding them a good asset now that I am a more normal size. I still have a lot of breast tissue (D cup) but with all of the excess skin, mine also can just kind of hang out on the bottom of the bra.

I actually went to VS lastnight to see if I could fit into their bras.. I went from a 42/44DD from Lane Bryant to a 38DD from VS.

My bras were getting soo big in the cups that I could grab the extra material in the cups of my LB bras.... it was sad! LOL

The lady was super nice, stuck with me, measured me, etc.... I too have the problem of more skin than tissue... (I think I see a breast lift in my future) but only time will tell....

I wound up buying VS's Showstopper demi.... LOVE THEM! Got 3 of them. I tried their Body By Victoria one.... didn't like it. It was a demi and i felt I was kinda muffin-topping with the skin... but the Showstopper ones feel great!

I have tried them Heather. They were great as I was losing weight but now I've lost pretty much all of my breast tissue, they don't do much for the skin I have.

I was professionally measured and the assistant said that I'd probably be more successful going to a specialist with experience of mastectomy/partial mastectomy patients because they can make inserts to maximize what we have.

Seems like we haven't moved to far forward with this. It is so frustrating.. aughhh I haven't been fit yet but have found a few i Target. I wear underwires with stretchable cups. That way they cover without skin hanging over.
