Hi, Stopped in to see how all the june people are doing. I feel really good. Tomorrow will be 6 months and I've lost 72 pounds. Seems like not enough compared to some, but I'm thankful. How are you all doing??

Not enough? You are approaching your goal. From what I have read a lot of people slow down as they get closer to goal weight.

For me I am doing tood. I am still losing although it has slowed a tad as of late. I got a bit off track when I had to go out of state for a funeral and it was over Thanksgiving too. However, I am back to my schedule now and doing well.

I hope others will pop in and update us as well. :)

I am 6 months on the 22nd and have lost 81 so far- with pre-op as well. I am 6 pounds to normal weight and have 18 to go to my ideal weight, so I am pretty happy.

I did slow and then took stock of what I was eating. I went back to the first phases of the post op and got back on track. Doing my protein bar or drink for breakfast, Greek yogurt for lunch and protein for dinnner (usually fish.) My snack is now a dill pickle and it works to get rid of the sweet craving.

I am also working out 4 days a week, running 10 miles minimum, and am getting faster! (Great for an lady on the edge or the second half of her century mark.)

Goal is 140 for my 6 month date, 2 pounds to go, during the holidays no-less!

Off to make good choices as I control what goes in my mouth, no one else!

Now 6 months out and finally feeling pretty good overall! Can tell my energy level is up with the hub bub of Holiday activities...Down 88 lbs since surgical consult and 66 since surgery. I get frustrated when I start comparing to others so try to remember that this is MY personal journey and unique only to me...EVERY DAY I fear being the one that doesn't make goal or worse yet - that goes through all this and 5 yrs down the road has regained. I do not find it an exceptionally easy journey becasue I never ate due to hunger anyway - I am unfortuantley an emotional eater and stress was not removed from my life with the surgery, so I daily battle the "head hunger". I never received compliments well and do not like attention on me so it is a little more than disturbing to feel like a spectacle with all the comments about the loss - for myself though...it is AWESOME to be able to shop the regular sizes and I am rocking a medium shirt from a 2X! (now if these dang hips would be so kiond as to depart like the chest did LOL)

Most of all - I persued this surgery to cure my GERD and I am EXTREMELY thankful to say that I have not had one incident of reflux since surgery day....dang ulcer at 3 weeks was another story but that seems better now and my ife is much better having reflux issues finaly resolved. I struggle to get fluids in as I am never thirsty - can't seem to get passed the sips at a time and cold drinks seem to hurt...I am a project in the making and this worm is on her way to being a butterfly :)

I will be 7 months on the 6th. I'm doing ok, it still amazes me how fast this is all happening. I have lost a total of 87lbs. I am still sick quite a bit, but learning to deal with it. Good luck everyone!!!

I can't express how much this has changed my life for the better. My surgery was June 1. I have lost 120 lbs as of today. I feel like I've been set free - even tho I have another 60 lbs to go.

I don't hang out here or post on the boards - just pop in once in a while to update my tracker! Just a couple of weeks away from the 8 month mark and I'm absolutely thrilled that I just recently passed the 100 pound mark! I'm aiming for another 40-50 pounds, but the important thing to me is that I feel so much better and exercising is easier. I'm amazed when I look at the clothes I'm fitting into and thinking 'they're so small!' (even when some are still XL).

My one interesting problem is this: I've had issues with pain in my tailbone since I had my first child 15 years ago. A couple of months ago the pain started getting worse ... probably from losing some of the padding I had! I'll be seeing a pain management specialist about it next month ... Overall I'd rather deal with this than have the padding back!

I have this if I sit too long, in a car, at work, etc.

I am now down ALMOST 149 LBS, I still need to get the .2 LBS to be down 149, then I still have 14 LBS to goal
