we're almost 6 months post op....

I'm still struggling with the amount I'm supposed to be eating at a meal time. My dietician says almost 4 ounces. Some things I can get the 4 ounces of (like yogurt), but solid things like meat, or fruit no way. I am supposed to eat 2 ounces of meat or protein, 1 ounce fruit, and 1 ounce starch... I eat almost no starches. Usually I'll replace the starch with a veggie. And do the fruit for an afternoon snack. Usually an apple with a tbsp of pb for added protein.

So this is a days worth of menu for me.

Breakfast is usually either protein fortified decaf coffee.... a scoop of protein powder, 2 splenda packets, and about 1/8 cup of milk. So thats 21 grams of protein.

Lunch lately: 3 ounces of tuna 1 tbsp of ff mayo. 4 low salt crackers 21 grams of protein.

snack: apple and 1tbsp of peanut butter. 9 grams of protein

dinner: 2 ounces of steak, and maybe if there is room 1 ounce of veggie.... this night greenbeans. that's 14 grams of protein.

total... 64 grams of protein. But I rarely finish a meal.
