Black-berry
My name is Unathi and i`m kind of new at this, and yes like everyone else here i`m obese. And i`m having the surgery (gastric bypass) done on the 26th Feb, next week really. Dr Vermaak from Bethlehem is my surgeon haven` met him yet because i stay in Secunda but we had a lot of discussions over the phone; back to back e-mails and i also had to see physicians, specialists beforehand. Anyone with any kind of advice is welcomed, God knows i`ll need all the help i can get at this point. The weird thing is, i`m excited, anxious and scared at the same time. So, please drop me a line from time to time.

Raloo
There is more opportunities in Secunda believe you me, If you think Secunda is boring you haven't stayed in Sasolburg real farm.. I would move down if opportunity presented but they will first have to up my pay. As for the pain I feel for you... My daughter (1 year old) does not undertsand Mommy had an op so she cries for me to pick her up and when I change her madam kicks me so for me the pain is something I deal with daily . You need to walk allot to prevent blood cloths. So get moving girl. The first 2-3 weeks is apparently called hell weeks but speaking from experience it certainly is... Be patient it does get better, the worst is now over. I hope you have someone to take care of you...

Black-berry
You guys i`m scared, what if i don`t loose the iweight, what if it`s meant for other people and won`t work for me? I suppose i`m feeling this way because i haven`t weighed myself as yet. I know it`s only been 10 days, is`t asking too much to want to see some changes no matter how small? I guess it is huh? I just need someone to say the weigh will come off... I`m just freaking out, and i cannot visualise me being thin... I mean me? Maybe i need some intense therapy, or something; i mean is`t even normal for people to feel this way?
