It's been a while!

Recommended Posts

It's been a long time since I've been here. Just a note to encourage new and seasoned members.

Today is my 10 year anniversary of my gastric bypass. I was 267 pounds when I got the procedure. My weight varies from time to time, but I still don't get above 167. Right now I'm at 164.

The procedure was one of the best decision I ever made. To those who are just getting started, hang in there, it is worth it.

Feel free to ask me anything.

Thanks

Congratulations!  You are an inspiration to us all.  :)

Can you let us know what you are doing (or not doing) to avoid weight regain?

Well, I do cheat a little. I'm diabetic so I take insulin. I also take Victoza. The Victoza encourages weight loss.

In addition to that, I stay away from fried foods.

Thanks! Hang in there Second Chance. Stay with plan and it will work.  Try to remember, don't eat until you're full. Eat until you're not hungry.
