Just in case....

Preparing for surgery....what paperwork do I need to put in place, besides a will and a living will? I’m not married, have no children, and don’t really own anything (except a mortgage lol).

thanks!

I already had my will in place but that was about all there was to take care of as far as I was concerned.

But kudos for you for thinking about that - it's something that everyone should do - regardless of surgery.

Same here. Already had the will. I did talk to my emergency contact beforehand about what I wanted if something should go wrong and any "decisions" needed to be made. Made sure she had current contact numbers for my adult children who work interstate. Because they were interstate their powers of attorney were void at the time I had my surgery. That was all I did that was out of the ordinary as I want to go through the surgery in an very positive mind frame and not thinking the worst.
