hthe620110 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 Hello All, Since my surgery on October 31, 2018 I have lost a total of 34lbs. Don't get me wrong as I am happy with the weight loss I just feel weak. The only thing I want to do is to sleep and stay in bed, I seriously hope that this ends soon as I get further along. Has anyone had any issues like this? Thanks 1 Kim M reacted to this
tracyringo Report post Posted November 17, 2018 If I remember correctly, I think I was tired and sluggish the first 6 weeks. Hang it their it gets better ! 2 hthe620110 and Kim M reacted to this
athenarose Report post Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) I was pretty exhausted for a long while after my surgery (a solid 2 months or so). It does get better, but even now, I will get wiped out and need a midday nap if I work out really hard or slack on my vitamins for a while. Just let your body heal, try to hit your protein goal and take your vitamins. Jen581791 Report post Posted November 17, 2018 Keep taking good care of yourself and give yourself permission to take it easy. Naps are good. I remember being pretty exhausted for about 6 weeks and the energy coming back slowly after that. But then suddenly you're feeling great, so eventually it goes away. You're doing great - 34 pounds in a few short weeks is incredible! 3 hthe620110, athenarose and Kim M reacted to this

cinwa Report post Posted November 17, 2018 Hang in there hythe - I don't think it's unusual for WLS people to feel a little drained for the first few weeks and from my experience, it seems to occur with RNY and revision folk. 1 Kim M reacted to this
hthe620110 Report post Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Hello All, My weight loss slowed down for a couple weeks, I even gained about eight pounds, I don't know how that happened. Now, I am back on losing, even more, I have lost about twelve pounds in the last ten days or so. I feel much better, I have energy again, I am ready to continue to kick this weight off of me. My only issue now is trying to find foods that actually sit well with my stomach as the Doctor put me on regular foods on December 1. I have tried chicken, turkey, pork and other foods but they don't sit well with my stomach, the Doctor said that this is normal and the taste for those types of foods will come back but it will most likely take a year for that to happen. Thanks for all the support, I appreciate it. Edited December 14, 2018 by hthe620110 1 tracyringo reacted to this
