Hi everyone. I'm writing you from home where I have been stuck for the last few days. I still can't keep much down but the good news is that I am on meds that have made my stomach feel better. The cr@ppy news is that my blood tests came back and I am seriously anemic. This would explain why I have been exhausted lately. I've had a constant monthly period for about a year and a half (I swear I'm not kidding) + GB, so the anemia isn't that big of a surprise. My low calorie count, constant nausea and anemia haven't been a great combo. I'm waiting to see what my next steps will be to resolve my low iron issues. Oh, I may have fibroids. Forgot about that added treat. I'm getting an ultrasound in about two weeks and following up with a GYN.

After going back and forth with various specialists, Katya was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. She has some sensory issues that are affecting the way she walks.  Her well being is my family's number one priority. We've been in and out of specialists offices and getting home visits. You'll hear no complaints from me but my health issues are making it difficult to keep up with a demanding schedule. I've been trying to sleep in my free time because I have zero energy.

My life is pretty drama free, so I'm naturally unhappy about the past two months. The violent death of a friend, an autism diagnosis and my health issues have made March and April a turd fest. Thanks for all the love and support.

Huge huge huge hugs to you :wub::wub::wub: You're a strong lady and will get through this. In the meantime, schedule some naps into your busy days and give Katya some love.

NT...I'm here for you if you have any questions about Katya's diagnosis! (Message me if you want)

Also I deal with anemia all of the time. It's annoying but easy to deal with. When I am really severe, I crave and chew ice (pica is a sign of it)!  Who knew?  Now that I do, when I start chewing ice, I know to up my iron!

Anyway, (((hugs))) to you.  You have a lot on your proverbial plate....but at least not on your REAL plate ;)

That is A LOT to deal with! I hope you can feel the love and support we're sending you. Getting the anemia under control will hopefully make you feel like you can take it all on much better. Feeling tired can make everything feel that much more overwhelming. Hugs hugs hugs.

Wow, life just doesn't let up sometimes, does it? I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of this at once. Hopefully getting the anemia under control will give you a bit more energy to handle all the other stuff. Take care of yourself!

Thanks for the love @Nana Trish. It’s been hard to carve bits of time for myself. I’m the best at telling other people’s to take care of themselves and the worst at taking my own advice.

Despite all my gloom and doom, I’ve managed to keep my sense of humor. I’m managing to awkwardly hold it together. giphy.gif

Oh, I am so very sorry for all of this bad news piling on you all at once. I truly do feel for you. It seems this is the way things go in my life as well so I am very familiar.

(((Hugs))) to you, my friend.

Oh Toothpick, I'm thinking of you girl. The anaemia is a very minor issue in the scheme of things. As my surgeon told me....just get iron infusions when you need them. They're quick and easy these days and will lift you pretty quickly. It saves having to try to reschedule all your other vitamins (well calcium) and doesn't distress the digestive system. In the meantime, rest when you can. Glad to hear the stomach is feeling better. I'm sure your gyn will sort out the other stuff.....Mine is proving to be a Godsend right now.....even though I hate my treatments. Haha!!!!

So sorry to hear of your turd-filled two months and big wishes for a turd-free next two months.  We are terrible at caring for ourselves but don't get in the way when loved ones need us!  Be kind to yourself Nerdy and get that rest whenever you can. <<hugs>>

@NerdyToothpick  <<Empathy>>

So very sorry all this has happened. If only we could speak to Time Lords like Dr. Who and change the course of things when they don't go the right way. Easy to say your stomach will be better, your anemia can be treated, and knowing the challenges your daughter will have will help you to help her. Doesn't make things much easier now.

Courage.

I love your sense of humor :wub: If that helps get you through this, hold on to it with all you’ve got!! I know how hard it’s got to be to find time to take care of you. I’m the same way with not taking my own advice. But having a toddler to take care of, in and of itself, takes up all of your time. It makes it very difficult. If I lived closer, I’d bring Katya home with me for play dates with Harper so you could get some nice long naps ❤️❤️❤️ My heart is with you, my friend!!! xoxoxo

And it IS ok...don’t be cry!! (Unless you really need to...then we will be here for you!)
