I'm a medical billing and coding specialist from Toledo, Ohio (Actually Holland...which is a suburb). I work for a general surgery practice that happens to also perform bariatric surgery. After deciding to have the sleeve surgery, meeting with my surgeon aka my boss, and going through all the requirements, I had my surgery on July 10, 2017 at Fulton County Health Center. Sadly, I started having complications that required me to have to have revision to the RNY on September 9, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. Even more complications followed including kidney failure, but thankfully I've recovered and have lost almost 100lbs. At time I regret having the surgery, but know that I did it to better my health. I have a ways to go mentally, but physically the weight seems to be coming off with no problem.

I live with my 23 year old son and our 6 year old rottweiler Khaleesi. I enjoy staying at home, spending time with my family, reading, watching TV/movie/Youtube videos and funny enough working. I'm taking classes to my CPC certification in medical coding and hope to accomplish that next year.

Welcome @ANGBrat180, nice to meet you. I had my VSG in DEC 12/2017, and ended up with a few complications myself.Although, my story does not compare to yours, and I truly hope you didn't have to go through all that alone. Welcome to our little online community, I hope you find everything that you are looking for, and then some. Take care and hope to hear from you again :)
