Check out Zirco Leopard Pics & Stats!!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I have been on here. I never got a chance to post any pictures on here yet! I still want to lose a little more weight though. I’m hoping to get it done before my 18 month post op visit with my surgeon this coming March. Here are my stats and my one year post op photos!

Height 5 ft 9 in

Starting weight 354 lbs

gastric bypass 09/12/2016

Surgery weight 328 lbs

Surgeons goal weight 177 lbs

1 year post op weight 158 lbs

current weight still 158 lbs

my goal weight 145 lbs

Its been a long journey but only 13 lbs to go! I didn’t get any plastic surgery yet but I sure would like to get some. My arms, stomach, butt, and thighs are ruined with saggy skin. Hopefully I can get plastic surgery soon but if not I just need to remember I’m much better off than where I was! I still sometimes experience issues with vomiting, stomach pains, nausea, and my god awful potassium but I’m doing alright. I love my new tool and lifestyle! I’m very blessed and fortunate to be healthy and I try to remember that every day!

WOWSA!  You look awesome! Any advice for newbies?

BTW, I do see some loose skin on you arms and a little on your tummy, but really it doesn't look bad.  I've seen much worse on tv plastic surgery shows. And really when you're dressed, you just look like a skinny girl and not a previously big girl!  congrats!!!

Thank you everyone! The advice I would give for newbies is definitley follow your plan given to you by your surgeon, take your vitamins because vitamin and nutrient deficiencies is no joke, exercise cause I didn’t and I’m sure my results would have been better if I did, use this online community for any help you may need, and lastly, invest in a good scale to keep track of your progress.

CheeringCJ, yes the loose skin isn’t too bad. I don’t like it but I do know some people have it worse so I should be grateful. I hope I can get plastic surgery to fix my stomach, arms, thighs, and breasts. Buying clothes (such as shorts, short sleeve shirts, tanks, and swimsuits) has been difficult because I’m so embarrassed. I try to keep telling myself I would much rather have loose skin than be 354 lbs.

I definitly still need to work on my confidence. It has come a long way - don’t get me wrong - but I wouldn’t mind having some more of it. Lol.

@zirco leopard, you see it more because it is your body but honestly, I barely see any lose skin.  Of course you can see it on your arms when you hold them up, but when they are down you don't see it at all.  You are so "whittled" in where your ribs are that there can't be a cm of lose skin!  And for your abs, you can only tell slightly where your navel is, and if that is covered, no one would ever know.  And seriously there is no way your body looks like it used to carry an extra 196 pounds!!!!  That is an amazing recovery from that.....and you wear it well!!! :)

How is maintaining going?  Is that easier or harder than the losing phase?

CherringCJ, thank you! Maintaining is ok I guess. It messes with my head more than anything because I’m so used to being in “lose weight mode.” All my life I have been looking at the scale constantly trying to lose weight. So once it’s all lost - I don’t know what to do! I wanted to keep losing weight but for whatever reason I stopped trying. So I maintained that 158 lbs from Sept 2017 to Feb 2018 not really worrying much about what I ate and still doing no exercise. Then, recently, I saw the scale say that I had gained 5 lbs and I freaked out. All I had to do was get back to basics and make smart food choices and I lost that 5 lbs plus another 4 lbs for a total of 9 lbs. Now I weigh my new all time lowest weight of 154 lbs. I’m going to keep it going because I really want to get to 145 lbs which is my goal I originally set for myself.

Maintaining is hard compared to the losing phase in my opinion. I know 5 lbs isn’t bad.. but I can can definitely see how easy it would be for you to lose control and gain again. Once I lose my last 9 lbs, I will definitely not be so relaxed about maintaining. I will have to find a good way to not obsess about it since I’m where I should be weight wise but still be focused on it because I never want to go back to where I was. I’m going to have to find a balance for it. I don’t know if any of that makes sense. Lol.

Where are you at in your weight loss journey? Have you had surgery yet?

Thanks for sharing the info with us. I too am afraid of having regain once I lose my weight. I plan to stick closely to my plan and to keep close tabs on my weight after I reach goal.

We have a thread called What are you eating today? up in the social subforum. Maybe you could join us there in posting your daily intake? It is helpful to keep ourselves accountable IMHO

Good luck on the last few pounds. I know that you will do it ;)
