Just had my sleeve revised

Recommended Posts

Monday January 8th 2018 I had my VSG revised.  In November of 2017 I had an EGD done over concerns that I could eat way too much food.  Surgeon confirmed and we decided to redo the procedure.  Going into surgery the Surgeon told me he would absolutely use a smaller tube to create the optimal stomach size.  Waking up in recovery brought back all the original fears, and regrets.  However after 3 days out of work, I am back at it and feeling much better.  I will not make the same mistakes this time round.  After my original procedure, I always suspected my pouch was bigger than it should have been.  At this time, however, I feel very restricted.  The way it never did.  If anyone has any questions feel free to ask away.

Wow, that sucks to have to do it twice!  But, congrats that it's over with and you're ready to put your new sleeve to good use.  Best to you as you start (again) on your journey to a new healthier you!

Congratulations on a successful revision. My revision has bought far superior results than my original surgery, contrary to what we read about revisions. Here's hoping you'll have as much success with yours.

Aussie I am hoping the same thing.  From the very beginning I knew I could eat more than I should.  My doc was very surprised when I told him I could eat very large plates without discomfort.  I woke up in the recovery room to him stating that it is much smaller now, and that I will notice a difference.
