Cardamom77 Report post Posted October 27, 2017 I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but it looks like it hasn't been recently. Any tips on cooking for the whole family after WLS? My husband and I both cook and he's expressed some frustration. My 17-year-old is a vegetarian and my 8-year-old is a picky kid, so my husband's already frustrated with their needs, now he's worried about my special food needs getting thrown in the mix. Are there any good tips/tricks for meals that everyone can eat? I'm mostly talking about dinner, but I'd appreciate any pointers that have gotten folks through. TammyP Report post Posted October 27, 2017 Hiya Carda Dinners are a challenge sometimes for us. I think as long as your focus is on protein, and you restrain yourself from carbs/sweets, you will be okay. For example, I always eat my meat first, with an occasional bite of veggies. I will disregard anything that is a carb/sweet generally. I fill up quickly on my meats since I still can't eat that much. It's hard for me sometimes to see how much everyone else is eating - to be honest it sort of grosses me out now LOL.
