Mexico...Seriously!

Recommended Posts

I definitely want  a tummy tuck with lipo and a butt lift, but it is super spendy. I have been dong lots of research and have found that a lot off these plastic surgeons have done their schooling in mexico and have chosen to reduce my costs by going to mexico also. Would love to have any recommendations anyone has and suggestions of places to have it done. I am hoping for an all inclusive place that will allow a caregiver/friend to come with me. I know I can't be the only one checking into this, but never get any replys for this, so if you would like to reply privately, please contact me at facebook.com/diane.sullivent with a private message. Thanks. Diane

Just curious...what are the price differences between US and Mexico?  If you figure it all out and you do go and have it done there, book an extra few days to recoup by the pool in a new smaller bathing suit!!!! :)

the price in america for a tummy tuck is over $8000, in mexico it is around $2000. I totally wish they would allow swimming immediately after, but from what I am hearing, it is 6-8 weeks healing time. I can do an all inclusive that includes tummy tuck, 4 places of lipo, butt augmentation lift, breast lift and augmentation for $9900.

Diane - there were like 8 Diane’s with name!  If you want to find me - Kisten Kirsch (I’m The one) I actually have a private FB group for my plastics journey down to Mexico!  It was amazing!  I went through A Lighter Me. Dr Rodolfo Castillo. He’s an amazing guy and surgeon!

Hey Kristen, how are you doing now? I have my date for Nov. 19th with Dr. Daniel Camacho Melo with one week at a recovery center. Would love to see how your scars, etc. are doing since the surgery if you don't mind? If not, I understand. Just curious how you are doing now.

I’m doing great!  Things are fantastic!  It was the most amazing experience ever!  These were my most recent photos that I posted in the ALM Plastics page. Let me know if you have questions!!  You can barely see my incisions. Ab muscles are just about stronger than they ever were ... I’m a yoga junky {JUNKY} now (going in 11 months now). I exercise a lot and have lost 20# since surgery [as you can see from the bottom photos, I have ribs!]

You look amazing Kristin! Did you exercise at all before your surgery? I hate exercise. lol

What all did you take with you? Did you take just jammies and a set of clothes for the plane home and the ones you wore down? Also, did you take anything to keep yourself busy like puzzle books, cards, etc? I am also not sure how much $ to take? I am staying for a week afterwards in a recovery center. It will be over thanksgiving though, so not sure if many people will be there?

I did exercise a lot before surgery, I love exercise!  Where are you having your surgery through?

I lived in lularoe pants and tank tops/sweat shirts ... in the recovery hotel I lived in a nightgown and rob!  I was there 11 days post op ... and didn’t realize I could have laundry done on site ... so I had a lot of clothes. If I would have known, I would have only packed 3 outfits.

I took magazines, modeling clay, crocheting stuff, laptop, soduku, crayons and coloring books. I slept a lot!!!

i ended up taking about $100 in 5’s & 1’s and I used my debit card for everything.

Take about 2 bottles of dial liquid antibacterial soap with you (gold stuff) and good thick lotion. Wash before surgery and EVERY shower after .... it was so hard to find it there and I was so glad I did bring it!  Through ALM it would be normal busy (not a Mexican holiday). So I’m sure you’ll have company!

I am having my surgery through Dr. Daniel Camacho Melo.

Okay, so I should be good with my harem pants and t'shirts. So glad to hear you took crochet, that is what I plan on taking along with my sudoku. They did tell me to bring a list of binge shows for netflix...hopefully something new will come out before then? They are requesting that I bring a certain lotion or I guess it is a gel called Arnica gel and pellets? I do have some really good lotion that is made for eczema...I don't have eczema, but I have very itchy skin and it works on the itching. Thanks for the tip with the antibacterial soap. Did you tip at the recovery center? I will probably do the same thing with my debit card.

What kind of pain pills did they give you? I am allergic to so many of them. I kind of think my primary here would prescribe me something before I leave as she knows I am going for my surgery and is all ready for my after care for when I return. Maybe I will talk to her since I have to go see her anyway?

I’m not sure who that surgeon is, must be another company. ALM Plastics only has 2 plastic surgeons, Castillo & Lazos.  I did not tip at the recovery center but I bought them coffee if I went, or treats if I went etc.

I did take arnica tabs - not gel, because you don’t want to put any on your incisions   Keep them dry!

i did bring my fire stick with movies on it as well as Hulu and Netflix.

You cannot pass over the border with narcotics. With or without a prescription  they are illegal there. I recommend when you go to the pharmacy, get a bottle of their strongest pain meds the pharmacist has that you’re not allergic to!  I only needed pain meds for about 3-4 days plus travel day!  Tylenol even ... its not that bad ...just day 2 & 3!

i did all of my pre-op physical stuff with my primary doc - I also saw her the day I got home so she could care for me. She took off my tape.  She was very impressed!

if you find me on Facebook (kisten Kirsch) I can add you to my private plastics page that has my entire journey and all the photos!
