Good evening everyone!

New here! :)

Had my surgery on 19/02/2017. Had a few complications but after a few days I'm finally back home!

Anyway.. I was prescribed 14 drops of Dalivit (a liquid multivitamin for toddlers and children) .. it tastes vile! I've honestly never tasted anything so revolting in my life!

As I'm still struggling to take some tablets, does anyone have any alternatives I could try that don't taste like the inside of an old mouldy sandal a dog has peed on?

Thank you in advance!

Most of us ate chewable vitamin pills and chewable calcium citrate chews early on after surgery. The ones that I had certainly were not vile. I have no idea what types of chewable vitamins are available in the U.K.

Welcome to Thinner Times Loulabelle!

You aren't going to be on the kiddie vitamin drops for much longer.

Dalivit Liquid

Each 0.6 ml of Dalivit Drops contains the following active ingredients:
• Vitamin A palmitate 5,000 units
• Ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) 400 units
• Thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) 1 mg
• Riboflavin (vitamin B2) 400 micrograms
• Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 500 micrograms
• Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 50 mg
• Nicotinamide 5 mg
The other ingredients are sodium hydroxide, polysorbate 80, sucrose and
sodium methyl hydroxybenzoate (E219).

If you're really struggling, check with your surgeon's office to see if there is an alternative or whether you could go to an adult chewable.
