For the last few years, my period has not been dependable. So guess what shows up two days before surgery, complete with spine-splitting backache and miserable cramps (which I don't usually get, but only now, today grrrrr!)?

The whole pre-op thing is hard enough, and I finally loosened constipation's hold on my guts today... now this. Just shoot me.

   <_<

I'm sorry that's happened just two days before surgery Sue.

Be sure to use pads and not tampons when you go into surgery and be sure to tell the pre-op nurse.  There's nothing they haven't seen before.

OMG that's so life!

I am so sorry, but I must say you have my luck.

I tell my dauhhter to prepare to have her period at camp, sleepovers, pool parties etc, as if it's fun, you can just bet you'll have it! Anything less is a gift.

I had a hernia surgery in March and wore a tampon during surgery and told my surgeon and they said it was okay. is there a reason to use pads instead of tampons?
