  1. It is quite possible to be less about the weight loss than the confidence!
  2. I have never had a problem with anesthesia. In fact, the first time I had it (1984( I like it so well, I wasn't ready to wake up.. The kept telling me to breathe in the oxygen from the mask, to wake up. I would take my tounge and push the mask away to take in the outside air and go back to sleep. I have had it probably 8 to ten times total. It is nothing to worry about.
  3. I was lucky. I too have an office job. I had my surgery on Tuesday and was back at work the following Monday. I did one half day and then went full days.
  4. Alone time is not only desired, but a necessity. I suffer from MDD (Major Depressive Disorder) I cherish my alone time. I have adjusted my hours at work from 6:30am to 3:00pm just so I can get two hours alone before my wife gets home. I am so bad, I have tried sucide three times over the past19 months.
  5. Take it slow with adding foods to your diet. After all, you have a brand new stomach. What kind of work do you do and how is it being back?
  6. The best thing I found to get the protien was "Calorie Countdown" my Hood. It is a milk type drink, you can get in Whit and Chocolate. I liked the Chocolate. It is fairly high in protien and low in carbs. It helped me from the start. I am 4 and a half years out and still drink it from time to time, just because I like it. You can hardly tell a difference between it and the real thing.
  7. I am 4 and half years out. The only problem I had/have is cake icing. I love that stuff, but can't have it any more. Arrrrrrg
  8. Listen to cinwa. She knows what she is talking about!
  9. That is sad. You need his support now, more than ever. But, you can't control him. This forum is full of support. Come here often. Everyone is here for you....
  10. I took a totally different approach. I was out in the open with it all. In fact, I had a little poster on my cubical wall at work that showed a graph of my progress. Doing that helped keep me on track. After all, it would look bad if I didn't do well. LOL
