  1. I can’t wait for all the extra energy. I have a 2 1/2 yr old to keep up with. I just hope this pain goes away quickly. No pain, no gain right?!
  2. Thank you!!
  3. Yes surgery went great!! Just got done walking the halls. Pretty sure my c-section was way worse in terms of pain, well minus these gas pains. Thank you for thinking of me!!
  4. I know it’s just around the corner!! Congratulations!! It’ll be here before you know it. I’ll take all the support I can get and I’d be happy to help support you!
  5. I am surprised. The shakes and oatmeal on this HMR diet really aren’t bad. Thankfully. Yes I’m definitely excited but nerves are starting to creep in too.
  6. Kind of excited that I get to be the first surgery of the day. Check-in by 5:30am and surgery approx. 7:30am.
  7. I can't believe I didn't update! Things have just been a little crazy around here. Anyway last appointment went good. Surgery is scheduled for November 14!! Get to start my 2 week pre-op diet in the morning...not super excited bout it but I'll get through it. Funny thing is I was just getting on here to add my surgery to the calendar when I saw your message. Thanks for checking up on me!!!
  8. I know! As corny as it may sound, it still doesn’t feel real yet. I’ve wanted and waited for this for so long!
  9. Got my insurance approval today!!! I meet with the surgeon again on the 19th and will get my surgery date that day! So excited!!!!
  10. The waiting game has begun. My case was submitted to insurance today. Hoping I hear back by the end of next week!!
  11. Well tentatively planning on Thanksgiving break but we’ll see how everything goes.
  12. Thanks guys!! Mainly I have one class that concerns me and it is a science class...Anatomy and Physiology. Luckily though all my classes are in one building and the most I have in one day is 2 classes. One those days I'm done at 1pm so there will be time for naps lol. But I also know that the earlier I do the surgery and not push it back to Christmas break then the further through recovery I'll be before spring semester starts. That semester will be a big one.
  13. Hello all! Ok so I’m getting so close to finishing up my 6 month physician supervised weight loss and all of my other pre-op requirements. I tentatively think I should be looking at the first/first part of November for surgery. My question to all of you is (and I know it’s different for everyone but still want opinions) how soon after surgery do you think I’ll be able to handle going back to class? Would a week off of school for surgery and recoop time be enough? I’m getting so impatient and want to hurry and get the surgery but I also don’t want to screw up my entire semester. If I don’t schedule for the beginning of November then it would more than likely have to wait till Christmas break. And I’ll also be making a trip to Texas then too for my sisters graduation. Oh decisions decisions. Anyway, any and all advice would be appreciated.
  14. I wanted to say thank you to all of you for your input. Lol I’m still undecided though. Luckily I still have time to decide. I haven’t had my appointment with my surgeon yet so I’m sure he’ll be able to guide me too. Not that y’all don’t know what you’re talking bout....I just like all the knowledge I can get! Thanks so much and keep those opinions coming!!!
