  1. I had my gastric bypass 15 years ago and then had two babies and kept about 35 pounds from the pregnancies, so the doctor said I was a good candidate for the revision, especially since my stomach is still small and not stretched out, so they would do a procedure first to make sure that you are not overeating because it would not make sense to do the revision in that case. I used a different dr. Because I live in a different state now. I have lost the 35 pounds and 28 inches off my body, but I also increased going to the gym from two days to five days a week, so that helped as well. Good luck to you!
  2. My stomach pouch was not stretched out, but he made my stoma smaller to restrict more food and feel fuller (called an overstitch). Yes, the insurance paid for it. Here is an article about it.
  3. How did the revision go? I just had mine 7 weeks ago.
  4. I had a revision in late May and have lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks. The inches are coming off too- 6 inches off waist, 2 in off thighs, hips and arms. What is your progress since March?
  5. How did your procedure go? I just had it done 3 1/2 weeks ago after having gastric bypass 15 years ago. I have lost 11 pounds so far but lots of inches as I am exercising everyday.
  6. I’m curious how much weight others have lost with the revision? It is just like having the bypass again so I think I will lose quite a bit but my dr said only 20-40 pounds.
  7. I just had the overstitch to fix my enlarged stoma on Tuesday. My pouch was still small. I had gastric bypass 15 years ago went from 250 to 165 had two babies and kept 20 pounds with each one. I had become lazy with drinking with meals and carbs here and there so I think this will get me back on track. I did have terrible acid reflux after the surgery and spent the first day and a half throwing up white foam that was stuck in my esophagus but am tolerating clear liquids now. Down 6 pounds already. My dr also prescribed an appetite suppressant that I will begin tomorrow. He said better success comes with doing both. I will keep updating and fingers crossed this helps me lose the 40 pounds or more!
