    Surgery done...happy but sad

First, congrats on having the surgery done! As everyone who has had this procedure done knows, there is a lot of hard work you have to put in prior to surgery. After surgery I experienced times of depression as well as thoughts of regret because like you I questioned why it came to surgery. Now I’m 6 months out and know I made the right decision. As time passes you get used to the restrictions your new sleeve has and it becomes second nature. As I continue to lose weight I find I have more energy, confidence (I still have social anxiety but not nearly like it was), and overall I am a happier person.
  3. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for weight loss/toning. I’m about 6 months post op and have been doing anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour of cardio 4x a week. Now that I have lost a good amount of weight I’m starting to see the excess skin, and was wanting to start incorporating some weight training to help tone up. I’m thinking of hiring a personal trainer and/or starting yoga but wanted to ask people who have been through the procedure if they had any routines or suggestions they wouldn’t mind sharing.

    Anthem BCBS

Thank you for the info. I got an email from the insurance coordinator at the doctor’s saying she was going to follow up with them this afternoon and would let me know where the process is at.

    Anthem BCBS

I was wondering if anyone had information on how long it takes for a precertification case to show in Anthem BCBS’s system. I have completed my requirements for gastric sleeve surgery and the doctor’s office sent the case on May 11th. I tried calling to get an update on where my case is but was told they do not have any record of a case being started. Is it possible it can take a week or two before it’s a case is actually opened or should I contact the doctor’s office regarding resending the information? Any information or tips is appreciated.
