  2. December 15th would have been better to enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday! Maybe you can have a quick one this weekend. I am about 6 weeks post op and looking forward to about a cup of Thanksgiving joy! Hope you like it here and get the support you need. There are many experts and many folks willing to help you on your journey to a newer, better, faster $6million dollar body.
  3. I did have a beer within 30 days post-op on a fishing trip. The beer coors light, extrememy cold and savored every swallow trying to work the bubbles out and maximize the taste. I sipped it slowly and enjoyed it with no ill effects.
  4. I find it impossible to eat 50-60 grams of protein daily during the first week of jello and broth that give only 1 or 2 grams of protein per serving?
  5. Hello Folks! Just had my Gastric Sleeve surgery 10/2/17 a couple of days ago by Dr. Hamamji. He also repaired a hiatal hernia in the process. Can't believe I finally did it. Been looking forward to this moment and looking forward to being the best I can be once again. A former Marine, I am trying to recapture my former self. In another life I was given the nickname "Poster Marine" as I always maintained a standard head and shoulders above my peers and was a perfectionist. Perfection in both body and mind. I started having weight issues when I got the notion that it took 200 lbs to be a real man. I gained to 200 pounds but did it the wrong way developing a lot of fat cells and a love for carnitas along the way. Having had a gym membership most of my adult life, it's just a matter of daily commitment. I just finished a six month journey with Dr. Dao my nutritionist and successfully lost 45 pounds prior to having the surgery. In 2012/2013 I had both knees replaced and was ok for the first couple of years. During the last year my weight skyrocketed to 307 and I became diabetic mainly from bad eating choices and total lack of exercise. The straw that broke the camel's back for now I had high blood pressure, suffered a stroke, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, diabetes and some ED. Do I really have a death wish? All of my ailments are due to my inability to close my mouth. The only meds I want to take are vitamins. I have opened a new chapter in my life and look forward to getting lean and mean. I look forward to befriending you and getting to know your struggles and share mine with you. 1st question is I find it impossible to be on a clear liquid diet during the first week eating only broth and jello and seeking to put in 60 grams of protein into your body daily when the protein in those foods only give you 1 or 2 grams per serving??? OK I missed the form that said I can have protein shakes
