  1. Well, I'm another current post-op prego! I got pregnant 4.5 months after surgery. I'm due June 30th. This is our fifth son and a total surprise. Our boys range in age from 13-21. LOL!

    I belonged to Curves before surgery and went back as soon as I got my medical clearance after surgery, which was at 4 weeks. I really enjoyed it.

  4. Hi Everyone! I waited a couple of days to post my update because I thought I had some big news to share and I was right. I'm having a baby! Oh mercy, I can't believe it's true! This has been a complete surprise and shock to both me and my husband, not to mention my doctor. LOL! This certainly wasn't planned but God has other plans. I keep saying that I'm too old for this. I thought that this chapter in my life was closed but here again, God has other plans for us. I am 41 and will be 42 when the baby arrives. We've had 4 boys, ages 12-20. My husband is ecstatic and my boys are thrilled. They are all hoping for a girl. LOL! Other than that bombshell, things are well here. My hair loss has slowed. I'm hoping for some regrowth to start quickly. I can pretty much tolerate any food except for sugar. I am down 80.2 as of today. I see my surgeon on Friday for my 6 month checkup. I am seeing a Nutrition Specialist for myself and the baby. Everything looks good and I'm feeling good.

  7. Any updates on the Nioxin? I really want to try it but I'm afraid of throwing my money away if it doesn't work. I have to do something though. You can see all of my scalp in front and it's a real self image buster.
  8. I've always been told that they are good for inflammation. I have been craving sliced cucumbers this week and have been snacking on them and dropped another three pounds in three days, so I think they might be right. LOL
  9. 5? Ugh! I hate when that happens, especially after hitting a huge milestone! It's all water. It'll be gone in a day or two. Cucumbers help, if you can tolerate them.
  10. I am losing tons of hair. My son says that I only have about 1/4 of my hair left. It's so thin that you can see my scalp through my bangs. I cut off about four inches and added more layers to the back but that doesn't help the front. I'm taking extra biotin and trying to add more protein but it doesn't seem to help. I started losing at 2.5 months and it's been bad since. It's pretty discouraging. Hopefully it will turn around soon.

  12. Congrats on getting your date! By the time my surgery rolled around I was so mentally exhausted from jumping through all of the procedure hoops. Don't forget to take your pre-surgery measurements and pictures. I don't feel like I've hardly changed in these past four short months but when I look at my pictures and measurements I'm pretty surprised.
  13. I'm sure that's probably the boat I'm in. Most days, I have a hard time getting calories in. I think I average about 500-800 per day. It's better than what it was. For while, I couldn't get more than about 250 in. I do notice that on the days that I feel that I have eaten too much is when I see a drop on the scale the next day. Go figure. LOL!
  14. I've had a bump twice now. I gained about 4 lbs and held onto it for about 2-3 weeks. I was so depressed both times. I felt like I had moved heaven and earth to lose weight by having this surgery and all the hoops that I had to jump through and now I was gaining weight. For me, after the 2-3 weeks, everything went back to normal. I also noticed that I either don't lose or gain a little when I push myself really hard in the gym. Not sure if it's swelling in my muscles or what exactly. Hang in there.
