  1. Well, what worked finally was stopping the pain meds. I still take Tylenol but no more narcotics
  2. Yeah, I was reading that today, haven't had any oxycodone since this morning, drank two magnesium citrate bottles (not all at once) I hope this works cause I'm hurting! Guess it'll be am enema next
  3. I've tried everything for the constipation, yesterday I tried magnesium citrate, and today I've tried a suppository, nothing. The nurse said to try magnesium citrate again and to stop taking the pain meds. i stopped and I'm just taking tylenol at the moment, I"m still hurting, but it's not unbearable. Ugh!
  4. Sorry if I come across as whiney but I'm sure those of you who have already gone through this can relate. The pain is still there but not nearly as bad, I still take the pain meds but I've cut what in was taking down by half. Right now I have 3 main issues, the first is the itching, it's killing me, it started last night, kept me up most of the night, now it's back today. I tried benadryl and a shower but nothing works! I also can't poop, it's been 4 days, I've tried mineral oil and laxatives, nothing but gas! Finally there's my butt, it's completely flat, someone please tell me this is not permanent. I have discussed this with the nurse that calls me over the weekend but nothing she has suggested has worked thus far.
  5. Thanks to both of you. Laurie, are you worried about losing another 16 pounds? I'm almost the same height and I'm the same age as you. You said you lost 12 pounds after the surgery, was that from all the skin and fat they took out, or was that just on your own? Thanks for answering my questions, I'm really nervous about this and you guys are helping me feel a little better.
  6. Thank you so much for your responses! If you don't mind me asking, what was your bmi before the surgery? Have you lost any more weight since you had the surgery?
  7. Thank you, that makes me feel better! What sort of elastic band did you wear?
  8. I had my arms and breasts done almost 3 weeks ago. I had a small implant put at the top of my breasts and that's about the only thing that still bothers me somewhat. I had questions though I was hoping you guys could answer. I'm sure these have already been answered, but I'm not having much luck with the search. 1. What did you do about the itching? I tried taking benedryl and it didn't work. 2. How long did it take before you saw the final results? Specifically, how long did it take for the swelling to go down. 3. When do the implants drop to where they're supposed to be? My boobs look a little weird right now because the implants are sitting higher than they should. 4. When were you able to start sleeping on your stomach again? I'm going in for my LBL next Wednesday, I'm really nervous about that, but excited too.
  9. I had gastric bypass about 6 years ago. Lost 100 pounds but then I got pregnant and gained some of it back. Well, I lost all of that weight, and now I'm down even more, and I decided to go see a plastic surgeon to see how much more weight I'd have to lose before I could get the skin removed. At the consultation, I was told I just needed to be under 200lbs, which I was, and since this dr. came highly recommended, I trusted what he said, and proceeded forth with scheduling my surgeries. I've already got the breast lift and arms done, and I'm pleased with the results (although since I'm only a little over 2 weeks out, I don't know what the final product will be). I'm supposed to go in for my full body lift with lipo on my inner and outer thighs next Wednesday, and to prepare and find out what I had to look forward to, I started looking online. Well, what I've read has me a little worried. First, they say you should have a BMI of less than 30, well, mine is 32 at the moment. Second, I've also heard that losing more weight after the surgery will just result in more saggy skin. I don't know how much I'll lose from skin and fat being removed, but my goal was 150. I should be in the high 180's when I get the surgery. I'm a single mom of two small kids and I already got all the childcare and work situation worked out, since it's the holiday's, it's a lot easier. Changing it now will be hard but I don't want to waste my money if it's not going to work. Has anyone had the surgery with a BMI of 32 or more? Were you happy? Have any of you lost 20 lbs after the surgery? Did you end up with sagging skin again? Thanks for your advice!
