  1. Should I be worried about low blood pressure?

I'm not the person to ask. It hasn't been an issue for me. If you're on BP meds, ask your doctor about reducing your dose or discontinuing them.

I have a problem with light headedness after standing up if my heart rate drops below 50bpm. The 3 cardiologists I've had in the past 7 years keep adjusting my dose of Lisinopril, consequently, I have doses of 5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 mg, but it's been steady at 40mg for the last year or so.

  2. Low blood pressure!?

  3. Thanks you so much for welcoming me. I'm not doing all that well, if you get a chance to look at my other threads if appreciate any feedback you could give. I'm really looking forward to bring a part of the community here.
  4. I'm new to the forum and really glad I found it! It's been a great resource for a not so great experience. Looking forward to making new friends that are able to give me some advice, guidance and support on this journey. Tomorrow marks three weeks out. Well, I'm pleased to meet you all and look forward to hearing from my fellow forum members.
  5. Tomorrow is three weeks post op and I'm having new areas of pain. After I started phase 4 of my diet I started having pain in my abdominal near the midsection. Never experienced pain around my incisions until now. They all looked like they healed really well, I was impressed, but now they hurt from the inside. Seems like I'm bloated, too. Tried milk of magnesia... didn't help the pain or bloating. I did have a bowel movement (stuck on the toilet all night), so that's not it. Anything to be concerned about here, or is this routine? I already figured out how I feel when my pouch is full without overeating, but it takes me an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to eat 4oz of food. Another is thing is that I'm experiencing blurry vision. Having a hard time seeing the clock on the stove from my dining room table and have never had problems seeing it before. Having to force 3 bottles of water a day, and had to switch from muscle milk to iso-100 whey protein. Couldn't handle the muscle milk it was making me feel awful.
  6. What's also overwhelming me at the moment are all my medications and supplements. I'm not getting very direct answers on when and with what each can be taken without interactions. Not only am I new to this forum, but to forums in general so I'm having a hard time using it to get information that's specific to my circumstance. For example, I take a thyroid medication and I get told from the pharmacist and dietician conflicting advice.
  7. Wendy, thanks so much for your reply and reassurance. Yes, I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, but they didn't specifically say they repaired it. I do know they removed a lot of scar tissue from the mesh of my umbilical hernia. I also know there was hemorrhaging in my stomach, but I don't know everything that they repaired because I was told everything that needed repair would be taken care of. I'm taking pantoprazole for stomach acid. My gallbladder medication got stolen out of my car the day I picked it up from Walgreen's. Why? Idk, but that was a 3 month supply and $2,000 worth of meds that my insurance doesn't want to replace. Again, thank you so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate it, honestly, I do.
  8. Hi, this is my first post. I'm needing some reassurance. I had my surgery on August 31, so I'm very new. I'm trying to figure out what's normal and what's not. Feeling pretty lost. I always thought I had pain in my chest caused by my heart, but to my surprise it has been my stomach all along! Still don't know if it's my heart or stomach... I'm starting to think it was my stomach now because when I have my protein/soft foods I feel it for hours. I'm feeling it now and it's been 4 hours since my 4oz protein shake. It feels like full, achy, uncomfortable feeling in my pouch and pain near my shoulder blade and back. I'm very thirsty and want to drink, but I'm scared I'm going to make my pouch leak or do some damage in some way. Is this normal? Should I feel this way? What's normal? I don't know what I should be expecting and it's really overwhelming because I have two small daughters to take care of and all these pills and eating times and water intake to watch... I've been keeping a log, but am having a hard time keeping this schedule together. I'm starting to regret this decision.... Please, please help me because I need some advice from some people that have already been through this.
