  1. Hey guys, I had my lap band a week ago. So far with the pre op diet I lost 21 pounds. I had a hiatus hernia that they fixed as well, anyway, now I have the worst esophagus spasm that you can imagine. My Doc gave me some meds that helped somewhat. I was wondering if anybody has experienced anything like that? Is this gonna go away again ? Thanks
  2. Thanks guys. I'll be meeting my surgeon again in a couple of days and I'm going to talk to him. I only heard good things about the surgery do far other than this post. I also read there are GB patients that had it done in the 70's and are ding great. I still have a couple of days to calm down a little. I know this is the right thing for me, a blessing really.
  3. I know it's prolly because my date is around the corner and I'm getting a little scared. I was just shocked at first when I read it and just wanted to talk to someone. Thank you for your comment
  4. Sure. http://www.thinnertimesforum.com/topic/88623-thinking-about-backing-out/
  5. I hope she's doing better. Did the GB cause this ? Blessings
  6. Hey guys, I have a question. The other day I have been reading a lot in this forum and found something that scared me and confused me and I was hoping to get an answer. The lady was scared to have surgery for a number if things. One thing tho I wasn't really aware of. So, since the part where the body takes out the vitamins and nutritious is bypassed, well have to take vitamins and protein for the rest of our lives. From what I understood, and I started doing done research, is that people because of malabsorption could die later on ?? I thought that the vitamins are enough not to have d
  7. Thank you. Yes I'm glad I got approved and be done with that part of it
  8. Yes, I definitely plan on, it's a great page! I have so much to look up on this website like this diet I have to start soon This is gonna be interesting lol
  9. Yes, I'm so excited!!! I can't believe it thank you guys for being so nice
  10. I was approved this morning, I still can't believe how blessed I'am ))
  11. Thank you. For some reason I think it'll never happen...so negative...don't even recognize myself bah lol My surgeon did give a date already..well see
  12. I actually saw my PCM monthly as well as nutritionist. I also saw my psychologist twice a month. We were stationed overseas and they didn't do this surgery over there and since we were pcsing anyway they made me wait. But I did all that and have all papers for that so I hope they'll take it. My surgeon over here made go through another nutrition class, needed a clearance from my new PCM as well a clearance from my psychologist. I can only hope. I'm waiting since last year September, that's when my journey started. Thanks for your answers
  13. Thank you so much I wouldn't even know what to do if I were to get denied ? Have you ever heard, that someone got denied for good or is there always a way to get approved with the right requirements ? Sorry for all these question, I'm nervous lol
