  1. Hi family. I haven't posted since early 2016. I'm glad to be back, but have regressed a bit. My highest weight pre-surgery (April 2014) was 340. My lowest post-surgery was 205 (March 2016). I was fighting really hard to get below 200, but right now, I fluctuate between 222-225. I know what to do in my mind, but I don't know what's stopping me from at least dropping these 20 new lbs I have added since last March. I CAN'T GO BACK!!! HELP!!!!!
  2. It's been a long time since I've checked in, but I need help. Does anyone drink carbonated flavored water. I've been drinking alot of them over the last month. Is this bad post-sleeve. My surgery was April 16, 2014.
  3. Hard exercise regimen this week; 1.5.hours/day on Monday,Wednesday, Friday (actually 2.5 hours on Friday!!) My thighs are sore and my arms feel like lead; BUT, a little over 2 years ago, I would have NEVER been able to do this!! The soreness is worth it and I am grateful EVERY DAY for this gift. I am VICTORIOUS!!!
  4. Hello all- it's been quite a while since I posted, but I have been reading your awesome NSVs! You all are amazing and help keep me motivated, even when I want to eat pie or drink soda! Anyway, my GREAT NSV from last week is that I went out of town for 5 days and actually walked/jogged an average of 12,500 steps everyday, ate sensible meals, drank lots of water (it was HOT on the West Coast!) and went to the hotel fitness center! I'm proud of me because this time 3 years ago would've been "buffet-a-gogo" with drinks flowing and laying around ; "relaxing". My sleeve is my friend!!
  5. Here's my story... 2 weeks post-op, I began excessively drooling and collecting saliva in my mouth like water running from a faucet. I had to carry a cup around with me and deposit the contents of my mouth into it at least once every 2 minutes. It was so embarrassing and uncomfortable that I literally stayed home for an extra week. It actually began to slack off around the end of week 3 post-op, but continued at a slower rate (about once every 4-5 minutes if you call that a slower rate) for 3 more weeks. I was in pure HELL! My surgeon was going to do an endoscopy and lo and behold, it stopped the day before I was scheduled for the procedure (Thank GOD!!!) I don't wish this experience on anyone. #SlimiesSuck

  7. Haven't reached my goal of under 200 yet!!!! I have been up and down a few times and stalled many times since November. I am sitting at 200.4. I know what the problem is in my mind, but you actions are incongruent with my thoughts!! What to do?!? I've come too far not to make goal!!! #340PreOpWeightApril2014

      I too have always had an issue with getting under 200 lbs. I am hoping that RNY will help me with this but I do know that somewhere in my brain I have been thinking that I don't deserve to be in onederland. 

      You deserve to be in onederland. YOU DESERVE TO BE IN ONEDERLAND. Just stay the course and evaluate your daily food intake. I know you can do this.

  8. What's up TTF?!?! Tonight, in honor of the cold weather and my slim pocketbook :-), I present homemade chicken, turkey sausage and veggie soup. All ingredients are directly from my freezer #OnABudget I made enough for my dinner tonight and 3 additional meals!! Ingredients: 1/2 roasted rotisserie chicken (including bones for flavor) 1 whole turkey sausage/kielbasa (approx 4 oz) 3 oz liquid low sodium chicken broth 1.5 oz of both frozen peas and corn 2 pinches curry powder 2 tablespoons minced onion Lite salt and pepper to taste 2 pinches of dried basil and parsley 1 teaspoon powdered chicken soup base Frozen leftovers from Thanksgiving and Christmas ---- 2 oz spinach 2 oz green beans Mix all ingredients together and simmer on medium heat for 8-10 minutes ; Enjoy!!

  11. Well hello everyone!! I haven't been here for a long time. Life has kept moving right along; but I wanted to check in with a few NSVs-- 1. I can walk, jog, run longer, faster and farther than I ever have in my adult life. 2. This one is a bit vain, but I deserve it... I AM HOT! So many men have approached me; asked for my number/given me their number; given me the head to toe once over (it's just a different thing for me...totally unimportant,but different) 3. I recently danced at an event for 20+ minutes! 4. I feel great! 5. I can wear non-wide calf boots and shop in misses, not women's plus 6. I'm happy Well, enough about me; I hope everyone enjoys the Holiday season!!

      I don't know if it's true for everybody, but I've personally found that exercise (with resistance) speeds up your metabolism which helps with weightloss. However, more important than that, it helps minimize the loose skin effect that comes with our rapid weightloss. Again, this has been my personal experience. I figure it's cheaper than plastics and so far I don't feel ill need it. But I'm male, that might be different for women. I hope you find the motivation you need lady.

I went on the website and it only computes up to 100 lbs. 100 lbs is equivalent to a 2 month old horse and 35 lbs is 140 quarter pounders!! ** At certain restaurants (to be unnamed), maybe the 140 quarter pounders are made of 2 month old horse meat!!!??!? Barf!!!!** No offense people!

  15. Quick sautéed garlic shrimp and spinach. This literally took 5 minutes to prep and 7 minutes to cook!! 6 oz cleaned/deveined shrimp 6 oz fresh spinach 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 oz plain Greek yogurt (for added protein) 1 oz low fat cheddar cheese Minced garlic 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth Lemon-pepper seasoning Curry powder (All seasonings to taste) -Sauté shrimp in olive oil - add garlic, chicken broth and seasonings - add spinach - add Greek yogurt and cheese - cover for 4 minutes - ENJOY (Makes 2 servings)
