  1. Thank you for this information! I am 10 months post op and 17 weeks pregnant. I am having a hard time gaining weight. I have lost 13lbs since finding out I was pregnant. My surgeon's office didn't want to see me and told me to just follow up with my OB. These guidelines are helpful since I wasn't given any information.
  2. Congratulations! I am 10 months post op, and 17 weeks pregnant.
  3. Thank you for updating us on how you are doing. Why do you think you will deliver early? Have they mentioned anything about needing to have a c-section? I read that online it is more common after surgery. I am now 17 weeks pregnant and am 10months post op now. I am struggling trying to gain weight I have lost 13 lbs since finding out I was pregnant. I am eating several small meals a day and am not sticking to my post op diet as I am supposed to. I called my surgeon but they told me since I was pregnant to just follow up with my OB they didn't want to see me at all...I was disappointed in that. I was hoping they would still want to monitor me a least a little, or give me some guidance.
  4. It is good to see that you are doing well with your pregnancy and that all tests and ultrasounds are coming back good. It makes me feel a little less nervous, I am 6 weeks pregnant and have my first appointment next week. Thank you for updating us on how you are doing.
  5. Hi, I see you haven't posted anything in a while so wanted to see how you were doing with the pregnancy, any weird symptoms, or problems? I had my surgery a month after you, took my first at home test today that came back positive. Taking another in the morning, and calling both of my doctors in the morning. But honestly a little nervous that I won't be able to give this little baby the correct nutrients. Hope to hear from you and I hope you and your little peanut are healthy and well. Thank you
  6. Although I have had several complications from my bypass surgery, I don't regret it either. I am always cold too, I also used to be hot all the time. But huge plus, I am never hungry.
  7. Thank you everyone, it is nice to know I am not alone in this.
  8. OMG! This made me cry reading about this. I am sending your son and your family prayers and love for a full and quick recovery! And will definitely be grateful for the wonderful family in my life.
  9. I don't know the cause but think if it continues you should consider a trip to the hospital. Side note, I was told by surgeon no Milk of Mag, but to take miralax instead, I am sorry I don't remember why, it was a few months ago. I hope you feel better soon!
  10. Hello, I first want to say I plan to ask my doctor too, but won't be able to until Monday when he is back in the office. So a little back story had surgery in sept had seroma, 4 strictures, then unexplained pain when eating or drinking anything which put me into hospital and extremely dehydrated, I had a picc line put in and was fed that way with nutrients and such. I had a home care nurse that has been coming out to change the picc dressing and draw blood. I was just shown the results from blood draw on the 10th and it showed my liver enzymes high and blood sugar levels very low (42-I did not feel bad except for headache). I am now worried how will I know if my blood sugar is dropping that low. She didn't know what high liver enzymes meant for a post bypass patient so told me to follow up with Dr. Got to thinking maybe someone here has experienced this? I want to add the TPN was stopped on the 5th, and PICC line was just removed! Woo Hoo! Feeling good, more energy and weight loss has started again, TPN made me gain weight since it was 1200 calories. Thank you all for reading sorry so long.
  11. I have a desk job but needed to take a month off, had no energy and was still in some pain. I think everyone is different. I also had a few complications.
  12. Thank you Aviator. My surgeon just did another endoscopy on me to fix my fourth stricture, I also have an ulcer, but he thinks there could also be something else wrong, I see him again on Tuesday.
  13. I am 10 weeks post op and still have no energy at all, I can't even walk around the grocery store yet. I have had a few issues since surgery not sure if that is the cause had a seroma, and 3 strictures so far, and I think I am getting my fourth.
  14. So I think I am getting stricture number 4, starting to hurt when I drink.
