  1. Hi Toya, It has been 19 months since I was sleeved. I started my journey with 234lbs, and I went down to 150 lbs. I have gained some weight over the passed 4 months due to the loss of my father. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder for years now. I try to find joy in the simplest things in my days.
  2. Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is doing ok and feeling well. I have been looking at my calendar and it is almost surreal that I'm three months away from my 1 year surgiverssary. I have lost 76 lbs. to date and that includes a few times I got fell of the wagon and gained a few pounds here and there. I have 3 more pound to lose to reach my ideal weight, but still 15 pounds away from goal weight. For months my exercise of choice has been walking just so that I could shed the pounds. I have now taken up a kickboxing class to build more muscle tone and become flexible. The only bad thing is that for some reason my vitamin D levels are constantly low. Have any of you experienced anything of the sort? Hope you are all doing great and feeling great!

Hello ladies, I'm glad everything is going well with all of us. I have lost about 63 pounds so far. I fit in size 8 jeans and im ecstatic. I started working 2 months ago doing door to door sales and all the walking I do 6 days a week has been my exercise. I walk 6miles or more a day. Let us all keep up the good work, and lets hit and maintain or goal weight.

Hey ladies, I've been kind of quiet here. I haven't been keeping track of my weight as much, but I can almost fit into a size 10 jeans. I'm so happy about that. I have been having a hard time with my portions, and when I think I have them down, my stomach complains. And the gas kills me when I eat. I hate gas! Good thing is that I started working as a door to door saleswoman. Which allows me to walk 6 hours a day 6 days a week.

So far I'm down 35 pounds! My pants all sag and that makes me extremely happy. Now the issues, I am working on my fluid intake and getting protein in. I can't stand the taste of water, so you see me putting all sorts of things in it. I am drinking apple cinnamon infused water and it tastes yummy. I can't stand the protein shakes with water, so I only make it with fat free lactaid. I am in the soft foods stage and I have no issue eating chicken, beans, and some veggies. I do however go back to eating cream of wheat, and oatmeal. They go down much smoother. Do any of you ladies have a lot of gas after eating, or once you take a bite? Every time I eat I just feel the gases fighting for space in my tummy.

Mickeywickey, I have been doing a lot of walking as well. I live on a fourth floor apartment, no elevator, and i tend to go up and down the stairs twice a day to get some exercise as well as walking to and from my sister's house which lives 7 blocks away from me and on a fifth floor no elevator. I'm also having a hard time with my fluid intake. And I'm trying so hard to drink more than 24oz of water.

Hi Ladies, I'm approaching 3 weeks post-op but I have yet to weigh myself this week. A week ago, i was 20 lbs lighter. I have not had any trouble with food, but not being able to go to the bathroom regularly has been an issue. I don't really count the daily calories I eat. I have been dealing with the infernal gas, and from your posts i can tell that most of you are dealing with this as well. I was so happy when I was able to eat a piece of chicken and have no incident with it. I have been eating stage 1 baby food, yogurt, soup, tuna salad, and drinking my protein shake every other day. I'm glad that most of you are doing ok, and those that are having issues, I hope you get better.

Update, I went to my post op appointment yesterday and I was in shock when I saw the numbers on the scale. I am 206 pounds. 13 pounds lost since surgery. I am so happy. My NUT moved me onto the pureed diet and what a relief. I was tired of liquids and my taste buds were starting to get numb. I think i'm going to follow the sample menus my Nut gave me so that i can make sure to get as many fluid levels and food intake. I went to Target yesterday to get some toiletries and some protein, so of course I used that as way to walk a little bit. By the time I got home I was exhausted. I spent the rest of the day on my couch. How are you ladies holding up?

Princess, Welcome to the gang! Hey Ladies, I guess i'm not the only one with the fluid intake thank GOD. I'm already tired of crystal light and chicken broth. I have been doing a lot more walking here in my apartment. It helps that I have a bit of a hallway to walk to and from the bedroom and living room. I'm happy that I was able to tackle going up and down the stairs in my building with no incidents. I live on the 4th floor no elevator. I can't wait to find out how much I weigh tomorrow. I refuse to get a scale until next month.

Another day and the pain is even less than the day before. I am still fighting dizziness and a lil bit of nausea. I'm having a hard time getting my fluids up. I finally have been able to get rid of some more gas and I feel so much better now. How are you ladies doing?
