  1. I'n living proof you should consider getting the gallbladder removed before having gastric bypass. I have bile peritonitis, and it is a horrible.

      Hope you get it fixed.

I've had a drain removing the bile from my abdomen for a month now. Finally on the road to recovery.

  2. My goodness- you look flipping fantastic, WAY TO GO!
  3. Thanks for posting this, I loved it.
  4. 11 months out and first time trying mayo- oh gosh how sick I am.

      Yuck...feel better soon!

  5. I worked the next day after gastric bypass, my doctor said he wanted us to be up and moving around asap, so no restrictions. I provided direct care at the time, and the job was basically monitoring older people and cooking with light duty housework.
  6. I had numerous pillows to prop up and then one on each side of me. That way I could attempt to lie on my side, with less pain. One side had a lot more pain than the other side. My poor husband had little room to sleep, but he handled it well.
  7. You have a neck, great job thus far, keep up the good work. Looking fantastic!
  8. Ugh, baking cookies, cakes, pies so tempting.

I hear ya! I did that last week. Made cookies for my mom and also rocky road. Very had to avoid the temptation.

I bake cakes etc part time, and the taste testing is getting to me. lol - I will make it, maybe.

  9. Look at the expression on your face. You look amazing and happier, not to mention I think you also look younger. Congrats!
  10. I must get rid of this last 50 pounds.

  11. You look Grrreat! Legs and arms look amazing!
  12. 10 months and food sitting hard and heavier than before. Weird, but I'm sure eating much less.

I don't think this is uncommon. It's still true for me at 16+ months.

I am 3 & 1/2 years out and still have some "bad" days where nothing makes my pouch happy. Less frequent but still happens. And this last Sat had a VERY bad dumping episode - have not had one this bad in a VERY long time - weird!

  13. Jogging is finally paying off! Such a good feeling to be able to jog, haven't done it in over 25 yrs.

  14. I completely know how you feel and you are not alone. I look in the mirror and I still see the fat girl (I know all too well). I highly doubt that I will ever see me at the true size I am. My advice- is to get the clothes you are wearing now and if you have any of the old fatter clothing, match them up beside each other. Keep reminding yourself how far you have came and measuring yourself is a great tool as well. And when you look in that mirror- face that fat girl head on and tell her she is going bye bye. You must give yourself the credit you deserve, and somehow get past this. I wish you the best and please know you are not alone, strange or otherwise by any means.God bless
