  1. Hi! I'm 10 years post gastric bypass and have maintained my weight loss. I don't have a lot of excess skin, just jiggly daughter calls it squishy! I'm sure I wouldn't be able to have anything covered by insurance. I'm just wondering if anyone has looked into the cool sculpting or had it and am curious as to information or results? Thanks!

  3. Thanks! Yeah, I'm kinda saggy, but not too bad. I still look better naked than I did before surgery. What bothers me most is my face is so thin. I wonder if it will eventually fill back out again? People keep telling me to gain weight, but I'm actually at a very healthy weight for my height (I'm 5"4'). It's just my face looks so drawn. I feel better than I have in years and my labs are all good.
  4. Hello All! Tomorrow will be my 1 year Surgiversary (spelling) and this week I hit my goal of 135lbs. I actually think I may be too thin...LOL can't believe I said that. How is everyone else doing?
  5. I like the McDonlads or Wendy's snack wraps. One is fine for us.
  6. Hey there, I had my surgery on 9/4/08 and am down 87 pounds. This was the best thing I ever did. My BMI has gone from 43 to 29! I'm now in a size 12 at Khols! Woo hoo!
  7. Hi Vicky, I use the calcium citrate from Twin Labs. I ordered them from They do taste like sweetarts, a little too sweet for my taste, but I'm getting used to them. I've heard that UpCal is good, it's a powder that you can add to anything and it has no flavor. I'm going to order that next. A friend said she ordered hers from amazon. Good Luck, Patti
  8. I just make the instant mashed with FF Milk (I use over the moon, it has 10 g of protein per cup) and whipped margarine. My kids can't tell the difference and we can only have a small amount. My pouch handled them just fine.
  9. Believe it or not..shrimp! I have found that shrimp sits the best in my pouch, even with cocktail sauce. I am six weeks out now, but have been eating shrimp for a few weeks now for both lunch and dinner sometimes. FYI, think it is so nice that you are so supportive!
  10. Hey there, I had my surgery on 9/04. Only a few day being uncomfortable, no real pain. Back to work and eating soft foods. So far everything has agreed with my new pouch. I've lost 16 lbs so far, but the scale has been at the same number for about 5 days...waiting for it to move any moment now. Patti
  11. Sorry "Amanda" bad. Guess I'm still a little groggy! LOL
  12. Good luck Jacqueline! I had my surgery on the 4th and am home and doing fine. You'll do great!
  13. Oh OK, I thought he was at Faulkner. I have a friend that went to him a few years back, she did the lap-band and is doing great! I just couldn't commit to going into Boston for so many visits. I'm in Plymouth, so Wareham is much easier.
  14. Hi Tribeca, I'm having my surgery at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, they're a Center for Excellence in Bariactric Surgery. I'm surprised you're going to South Shore, I thought Dr. Mun was just in Boston. Well good luck to you, I've heard Dr. Mun is great.
