  1. NSV

    Yay for NSV's!
  2. Super NSV

Yay, that's one of my goals too. I can't wait to join you on that achievement. Congratulations!
  3. 4 Month Surgiversary

Amazing! Keep up the fantastic work.
  4. March 2013 surgery updates?

Surgery was March 20th, I'm down 35lbs from the day of surgery, 62lbs since pre-op diet. I feel like a new person, but I can't wait for more and more pounds to she'd. I haven't been exercising like I should, but have be making more efforts over the last few days. My thyroid is out of whack so I think that is holding up some of the weight loss, but I'm not complaining about the progress. I am happy that I've lost what I have.
  5. I was asked to be a bridesmaid.

I ordered my dress a few days ago. Fingers crossed it will work.
  6. 2 weeks post-op...severe itching?

I developed a rash on my forearms and shins after surgery. It was itching like crazy, to the point that I'd wake up scratching. It's weird because it is no where else on mt body. I've seen three dr's (surgeon, primary care and endocrinologist) who all give me a different opinion on the cause. I have had to stop taking each of my vitamins one at a time to try to pinpoint the cause. It's finally going away, after stopping and re-starting all my vitamin and changing the dose on my thyroid medicine. I think it might be related somehow to the thyroid med. just glad it's going away.
  7. I was asked to be a bridesmaid.

Thank you. I'm really excited to be involved in the wedding. I just don't want o look like a mess standing up in front of everyone. I have these horrible visions of being half bald and my dress falling off because its too big lol! I'm sure it will all work out fine.
  8. My husbands brother is getting married in September and his lovely bride-to-be asked me to be a bridesmaid. I'm excited, but I have to order a dress this weekend! How am I suppose to do that?? I'm eight weeks out now and have ready dramaticly changed shape and size. How do you guess what size you'll be in close to four months. Has anyone faced tis before? If so, how did you deal with it?

Sounds like you've had a tough time, but I'm glad you're so positive! Hang in there because you're right, the future is bright and just head of you.
  10. I weigh less than my husband!

For the first time in almost 18 years I weigh less than my husband! It's a good day
  11. Anyone looking for cheap jeans?

I wonder if they have the same deal here in So. California? Thanks for the tip.
  12. 9 Months Post-op and down 103 pounds!

You look great, your hard work shows.
  13. Wow!

You look like a whole new beautiful person!
  14. Husband no longer supports WLS

Wow, you are a strong woman indeed! I pray for God's blessing over you and your children. The surgery will change your life, once healed you are going to feel even more empowered. Good luck through the process and on the tough days (sounds like more of the are, than not) look to your very healthy and bright future.
  15. a nsv I thought I would never see

Yay! That is awesome for you and your daughter! I too look forward to the wind in my face. There's a sort of freedom that comes with riding a bike that makes you feel like a kid again.
