  1. I just had a revision due to complications. I am feeling so much better. I had a lot of reflux and trouble swallowing. after a bunch of tests the dr found I had a para esophageal hernia. While they were repairing they tightened my pouch because it had stretched in 7 years. Hope you are feeling better.
  2. Thank you for your replies:) I emailed my surgeons office and they said that I need to stay to the measuring cup not the scale. 2 to 3oz of protein with 1/4 cup veggies and 1/4 of whole grains. I am eating 3 ounces of lean protein with 1/2 cup of veggies. Trying to stay clear of whole grains. I really want a salad though but 1/2 cup doesn’t excite me.
  3. I had a gastric revision 2 months ago. I should know the answer to this question. I am currently eating 1 cup of food. But is that the same as 8 ounces? 8 ounces looks like more food....
  4. Heard from my doctor and they said they can take my gall bladder out if I'd like. They said I could try to deal with the pain or have surgery, it is what ever makes me most comfortable. I am even more confused now. Am I being a baby about the pain? I was hoping for more of a solid answer from the doctor.
  5. Hi there, hoping for some advice. I have been having pain off and on, on my right side under my rib cage. I went to my primary care and she thought I displaced a rib and didn't understand what my concerns were because I was thinking it might have to do with my past surgery. I have since found a Bariatric Doctor ( I moved out of state from where I originally had surgery) and they did a good amount of tests and believe its gallstones. Today I had an ultra sound done and the technician said I have stones but they are smaller ones. I should hear from my doctor in a couple of days but I am nervous.
  6. It was bright red, and about a 1/4 cup or so. Sorry, I know that's gross. I am going to call the dr tomorrow, but I think I will double up on my acid reflux medicine and only have protein drinks today. Still sorta freaked out.
  7. Hi! I am almost 11/2 out from surgery and haven't had any real complications. Tonight I ate something that didn't agree with me and when I threw up I also threw up some blood...Is that normal? what should I do. I don't feel sick but very weirded out... Thanks in advance for any advice. Melissa
