  1. Hi all, I am looking for an older post that had a video in it of a woman showing the changes her body was going through even though her weight stayed the same. I tried searching some keywords but am not having any luck. If anyone remembers this can you pretty please tell me the thread name? I am trying to help someone that feels stuck on her journey and I think that video will help a lot. Thanks!!
  2. I have the same issue. My arms stick out waaaaaaay more now that the rest of me is slimmer. I go to a specialized "gym" that does not have the typical equipment. It is all about strength and endurance training using TRX, kettle bells, tire flipping, etc. I find normal gyms boring and I lose motivation to keep going back because of it. The new wave of working out, Crossfit, OCR training, etc, helps break the monotony of traditional work outs and makes it fun. I find that I push harder because I can see and feel my progress by flipping that tire or climbing that wall. It has definitely helped and I have stopped going to Planet Fitness in favor of the classes. Joining a a gym with a pool/swimming classes is also a great idea.

  6. I finally did it! I finally made it under 200lbs and am sooooooo happy. I am 40-50lbs away from my goal (I am keeping options open since I am trying to build muscle while losing weight) and super excited that it actually seems possible now. Congrats to everyone who is working so hard to be healthy!

  8. I like the Vanilla Bean, Double Stuffed Cookie and Cappuccino. I switched the Vanilla Bean for Body Fortress Super Advanced Vanilla but only because it was cheaper. I have Cappuccino every morning which was a huge help as I was so used to having my morning teas. I mix all with unflavored almond milk. I did not like any of the fruity flavors and am not a fan of chocolate so that's about it for me. They do have a new Grape flavor that I am curious to try but I am waiting until BJ's Bariatrics has a sample pack.

  10. Thank you everyone! Tra2....which WD are you doing, the one in CT? I am thinking of doing it for my bday but am a little hesitant because we are going on a cruise 10/8 and I don't want to be all banged up.
  11. On 4/12/13 after volunteering for 7 hours, I ran the Spartan Race at Citi Field. I didn't plan to run but after giving out medals to hundreds of people at the finish line I decided I could do this. My boyfriend offered to run with me and help me. I may not have been able to do all of the obstacles on my own but dammit I still did them. This was one of the proudest moments in my life and gave me a renewed energy in my fight on fat. I have lost 8lbs since that day which is crazy because I had been going on 6+ week stall since the holidays. My next race is 5/4 and while not a Spartan, it is a female only OCR and I am super excited!
