  1. Try Isopure, you can get it at GNC or The Vitamin Shoppe. I started having problems with the shakes shortly after surgery and my NUT recommended this. You can get it ready to drink in bottles or powder form to mix with water. The ready to drink comes in a 20oz bottle and it's 40 grams of protein per bottle. I find it a bit strong, but dilute it with some water and I can drink it. Good luck!!!
  2. Seriously can't hardly stand it. I drink, I belch. I eat, I belch. I take my vitamins, I belch. I don't mean just little burps, I mean belch loudly. I can't control it and if I try it's painful. Sometimes I can feel it gurgling around in there and like it gets stuck then it's really painful. I actually had someone burp me like a baby today in order to help it move.
  3. Yes, I am 3 weeks post op and finally getting my energy back. You have been through a major surgery, give yourself time. Listen to your body and rest when you need too. It will get better.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I'm hanging in look forward to when I can feel good for more than a day or two in a row. Until then, sugar free Popsicles are my friend.
  5. I am 3 weeks post op as of tomorrow. I am having an issue with the protein causing nausea. I have tried the Bariatric Advantage and Matrix powders (many different favors) now I'm trying the Isopure ready to drink bottles. Seems like after 2-3 days on any one protein I start getting really bad nausea when I start drinking it. I do well for a couple days then it starts again. I'm getting very frustrated, I really am trying to do all the right stuff. Usually once it starts it takes all day to start feeling better again. Why after a couple of days does it start making me sick???
