  1. Hi Misty....thanks for the message! You will be able to achieve your goal someday. Just take it slow and don't give up. You can do anything you set your mind to. I never in a million years thought I would be a runner...now I can't imagine not being one. :) Just take it one step at a time. Judy :)

  2. I just came across your profile. WOW. You are truly an inspiration. I have always dreamed of being a runner. I am hoping this surgery will allow me to achieve this.

  3. Hey! Got your message! Feel free to PM me anytime. My best advice is to start with walking. I walked about 3 miles a day for probably 6 months before I started jogging. And then, I did a walk/jog...walk a few min/jog a few minutes. There is also a program called Couch 2 5k Couch to 5k - C25K Running Program I know alot of people that used this to get started with running. I didn't use that program, but what I did was basically the same...just not as structured ;) Anyway, I think running/jogging/walking a 5k is a great goal! I know you can do it if you set your mind to it. Please contact me if you have any questions...I love helping out new runners! Take Care! Judy

  4. Someone in TT gave me your name as someone I may be able to get some advice from. I want to start running, but I'm not sure how to do it without burning myself out. I want to do it the right way. My "short term" goal is a 5k. MAYBE soon a half marathon. Any advice you can give is appreciated.

Down to 144. Wearing size 4 or 6 pants (6s are getting big). My medium and large sweaters from last year are too big, but I'm wearing them for now.
  6. Your success is an inspiration to me. Maybe one day I'll be able to run marathons!
