  1. I tell only people I feel will not voice unasked for opinions. Many people feel it necessary to judge my personal health decisions.
  2. Jules74-Glad someone came out to answer. I think it is key that we continue to support each other and I noticed our groups is very very quiet.
  3. Happy to be five pound below my target weight. I am less then one pound from my weight I was in high school. Go figure. :)

  4. I see that we have no recent posts. I believe that we need to keep encouraging each other along this journey. I hope to see people posting their progress here soon. If you are struggling where else can you get support from people who would understand first hand?
  5. is less than 1 pound away. I am so happy I decided to get WLS done. I know I made the best decision for me and my health. Although I had some serious complications for the first 8 weeks out and lost a lot of hair in the beginning, it has still been a blessing for me. Hope everyone is doing well. Would love to have an update from the rest of my October people.

  8. only 8 pounds until I am no longer considered overweight. I am so excited. May hit this goal before Christmas. :)

  9. My year old sons learned now that I lost weight people mistake me for their sister, not their obese mom.

  10. Happpy happy Surgiversary to all the October people.
  11. I was slow to start, now I am well beyond what the average weight loss for the first year. I am down over 115 pounds and only have 11 to go until I am no longer over weight "Weight loss after gastric bypass surgery is often dramatic. On average, patients lose 60% of their extra weight. For example, a 350-pound person who is 200 pounds overweight would lose about 120 pounds." http://www.webmd.com/diet/weight-loss-surgery/what-is-gastric-bypass-surgery Don't worry about a slow start. It will even out at the end. The scale is not the only thing to go by.
  12. Congrats.
  13. 115 pounds gone forever. 11 more to go......

  14. I wish we could spot lose. All I have left is my tummy.
