  1. I am on day 5 of my liquid diet, which is a 2 week long one... grrrr. I wish mine was only a week. It isn't soooo bad though the first day was the hardest and each day has gotten better progressively. It is tough having to make dinner for my family and then not getting to eat any of it... last night I grilled porkchops... that was torture. lol, but I didnt eat any!!! Good luck next thursday!! I will be following behind shortly on the next tuesday.
  2. JML, I am glad you are home and doing well (minus the pain) I hope it all evens out very soon for you. Thanks for sharing how your experience went!! It does help. I have 11 more days till my surgery and am getting pretty anxious, but I know it will be all good. Oh, yeah... I wanted you all to know. I started a blog about this fun WLS journey... lol If you want to check it out it is at meltingme.wordpress.com
  3. Wow!!! That all sounds a little scary you having to go in twice and all!! I am glad you are tolerating things good now though. My Dr. requires the 2 week clear liquid diet with protein shakes. I am doing better than I thought I would on it. I took my kids to the movies today and even passed up popcorn!!! It was hard to smell it but I resisted the post diet my surgeon suggests doesn't allow for any type of veggies at all even potatoes untill month 2. I guess I will be eating a lot of cottage cheese and deli meat and eggs... even that sounds good right now.. lol. I have been a little tired and had a slight head ache this week and am assuming it is from not eating. The only thing I keep telling myself is that it will all be worth the struggle in the long run!!
  4. Day 2 of my liquid diet is slooowwly going by. these next 2 weeks are going to be tough ones. I am still dying to hear how those of you who have already gotten your surgeries are doing. Please tell us any obsticles, cool things, or just how you are feeling. I know a couple of you had surgery yesterday, yeah!!! I am so happy for you all!!
  5. Of course you can stay on this page!!! That really stinks that the sleeve didn't work out. I am glad you are doing ok though. Hopefully the RNY works well for you.
  6. Has anyone been told if you can drink coffee with a bit of fat free creamer in it during your 2 week liquid protein diet???
  7. I am so glad you are doing well!! Congrats on the start of your new life!!
  8. yeah!! good luck today!!! You will be in waaaayy smaller clothes very soon. I told my husband I want to start a consignment shop for bariatric patients... that way we can recycle all of the sizes we will be going through
