    Question for the women here..:)

Well, I have to say that I thought that I would just have a lift after I lose all the weight, but I'm half way there and I've gone from a DD to B. I've lost almost 8 in. in my bust soooo. . . there will probably be nothing left if I have a lift! I never thought of myself as a implant girl unless I had a breast removed or some like that. But I think I might have to consider it. I, personally, care more about my tummy than my breasts. I can put those suckers in a push up bra at any size and they will look half decent. But no matter what I do to that sagging tummy -no matter if I wear the BEST Spanx out there- it will be saggy and there will be a slight lump! Although ALL these issues are issues that I would love to have compared to being unhealthy and obese! So even if I can't fix- I'm happy! I believe this is how most of us feel. These are good problems to have! HURRAY for saggy, baggy breasts- it means we are getting closer or have achieved our goal!!

    Breathing Tube and Catheter

Everything was taken out before I woke up too. I personally haven't heard of that happening to anyone who had a successful surgery. I do know of people that had complications and had to have it but I don't think they were awake. The catheter is no big deal. I doesn't hurt at all. It is a little awkward but as soon as I walked around for awhile, they took it out. You just take a deep breath and it is over. No pain-just a little uncomfortable. But it is over in 3 seconds at the most. You will be fine! Have a great journey!

I'm there right now! I have to force myself to eat. And sometimes it agrees with me and sometimes it doesn't. I would love to just take a pill that provided all my vitamins, minerals, and nourishment for the day, instead of eating. I do think this will change though. I find myself at the end of the day trying to find ways to increase my protein intake before the day ends because I don't get enough yet. I'm between 50-60g a day and I work hard for those 50-60. Anyway, I'm right there with you on the eating thing. I hope this improves for both of us soon!

I've tried many things like Miralax, Colace and Milk of Mag. Miralax and Colace didn't work , and Milk of Mag. did, but it was very painful! I hated it! I was in the bathroom all night with cramps and such! I did find a different product that I really like though. Its called Organic Smooth Move by Traditional Medicinals. It is an herbal stimulant laxative tea and it is all natural. It tastes good too! My doctor recommended it. I've seen it at Super Target and Publix (in the tea section).

    Reached the 100lb loss!

Wonderful! So excited for you! Hasn't your life changed so much from 100 lbs ago?!
  10. I spent time with my fam. We watched some sit-coms -I laughed and laughed! I was so ready that I wasn't nervous until they hooked up the IV. I was like wait - I have to give instructions to my husband ( the what to do if things go wrong scenario). You know -I'll be fine so take care of my babies! My husband laughed at me, kissed my head and said "I'll see you in a few minutes." (That's how long the surgery felt to me!) Spend time doing the things you love with the people you love! They will give you the best "send-off" into your new beginning! Make the Lord bless you and keep you!!
  11. I'm doing a little better now. The meds have helped! I am having ice chips from Zaxby's and that seems to help. I was surprised that they didn't give me an IV, and I did ask them if they were sure I wouldn't need one. And I also said over and over that I was 25 days post-op. I don't know if they understood the dangers of dehydration among WLS patients. Anyway, I've decided I would go see my doctor first thing Monday morning. I have too much on my plate this week to be sick! Thanks ya'll! I was a little down and you all encouraged me and reassured me! Shiver and Yvie, I pray that you will recover soon. Feeling that way it is terrible- physically and emotionally! Hang in there and we can get better together!!

So proud of you! I know you just feel great!!!! Doesn't it make you feel like you can accomplish ANYTHING!! You can make you wildest dreams come true!!! Do you mind if I follow in your footsteps?! Congratulations-what an amazing accomplishment!!
  13. I woke up feeling worse than ever with sour throat and high fever. After not being able to keep a sip of fluids down, I went to the ER. I couldn't hardly walk. So after testing, it was confirmed that I have a severe case of strep! I am thankful that this is the first "hiccup" in my recovery, but I feel like I just took 50 steps back from where I have worked so hard from. I'm having a very difficult time sipping anything. I'm so scared that I'll get dehydrated (if I'm not already). They did give me so pain med to help and an antibiotic shot. So after pain med, I try to sip but it isn't alot. Any suggestions?
