  1. Karen, the man was advocating callously using women for sex. And he boasted about his conquests (real or imagined.) That's a pig in my book. Anyway, ban me if you like. I won't know if you do. I'm outta here. Won't be back.
  2. Happy Birthday LisaBoston & Leanne

Happy Birthday, Lisa and Leanne! Hope it's a great day for both of you. Denise, thanks for reminding us of their birthday. I love your cake graphic - very impressive!
  3. Mike, You're 26 years old now, you were 378 pounds when you had the surgery this year, and you want us to believe that in college a mere three or four years ago you were not fat? And that you were a suave and studly seducer of many ladies? (Although Cindy opines that they were tramps, not ladies.) Yes, of course I believe you. Not for a single moment do I think you are engaging in wishful thinking.
  4. "Chicks and tramps?" My goodness, you're certainly a champion of our gender, aren't you? And yes, he was using them for sex. Or at any rate he wanted to use them, because I'm not convinced it wasn't all a compensatory fantasy. Fantasy or not, he clearly thinks that using people is a laudable action.
  5. Yippee! I got into size Large!

Thanks! Yup, that's my son at his high school graduation earlier this month.
  6. Lisa, What a lovely and uplifting story!
  7. hi everyone

Love the cake! Did you bake it in metal bowls?
  8. Mike, He can't heal his heart by callously using women. There is such a thing as karma, you know. And how did you get laid as much as you imply, considering how fat you were?
  9. It's beautifully written. Send it to her. In the mail, not via email. Hand write it on plain white paper, not lined paper. Then wait. If this doesn't melt her heart, nothing will. If you get no reply or if she asks you to stop contacting her, then give up on her. To send this is not stalking; to do more would verge on it.
  10. Blacking out

Suzy, I'm sory you have to go through this. I second what Whitney said. You need to see a bariatric specialist. If you can't swallow food, you have to have to get your nourishment via a nasogastric tube or, if your esophagus is too strictured, via a tube implanted in your pouch through your abdomen. Good luck, hope you feel better soon, and keep us posted.
  11. This is a great day - I went to Target to buy some tee shirts and I found that size Large fits me. After 10 years of wearing 3XL or 2XL, this is progress! Incidentally, to everyone out there who's on a plateau, I am living proof that you can lose inches without showing a loss on the scale. I've been stuck at 212 pounds for three weeks but in that time my clothes have been geting progressively looser. I'm just crossing my fingers that I'll step on the scale some morning and see a whole bunch of pounds gone. But for now, being able to wear a size L feels pretty terrific.
  12. Bulimia?

Aw shucks, Whit, I'm blushing! That's my son in the pic with me, at his h.s. graduation earlier this month.
  13. Bulimia?

Hiya Zen. Yup, I know what you mean about the slow sipping and tiny bites. It is harder, isn't it? Even though eating that way fills my pouch, it's nonetheless unsatisfying. I still want to eat and drink quickly, and in larger amounts than is good for me. No wonder Pouchy is grouchy. It's not her fault - I am coming to realize that my greediness and impatience are to blame for the whoopsing.
  14. Coffee Question

Dyann, This quote is from the Mayo Clinic website at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cancer/HQ01134 "Water, black coffee and tea have no calories." I'll trust the Mayo Clinic for nutritional information over Starbucks any day. Speaking of Starbucks, the following might interest you: Starbucks Targeted for High-Fat Products By Abha Bhattarai NEW YORK (Reuters) - Starbucks Corp. may be next on the target list of a consumer-health group that this week sued the operator of the KFC fried chicken restaurant chain for frying foods in oils high in harmful trans fat. The Center for Science in the Public Interest said it is planning to campaign against the global cafe chain because of the increased risk of obesity, heart disease and cancer associated with high-calorie, high-fat products it sells. And the possibility of legal action against Starbucks, similar to the case it is taking against KFC owner Yum Brands Inc., has not been ruled out, said CSPI executive director Michael F. Jacobson.
  15. Home from hospital

Welcome back, Robin. You were the last of the May Queens and we were wondering how you were doing. Sorry you had a rough patch. My prayers are with you for a quick recovery.
