About Me
My name is Jacki, I'm 29 from upstate NY. I started my GBS journey in January of 11'. I had my surgery on April 28, 2011. It was pushed back a few times because they kept sending me for test, they found I had a malroation. But, once that was figured out I was back on track again.
I needed to lose 30 pounds before surgery, mandatory 10%, I lost 37. My starting weight was 336 and my final weigh in was 299. Yay, I hit the two's!
I decided to have GBS because I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I was diagnosed with that when I was 23. I have been through hell and back because of it. It took me from my teenage years till then to finally get answer on what was going on with me. One time I went to the doctor and told him I'm gaining weight and I'm active and eat right. He told me...be truthful stop eating fast food. It was such a down point in my life. But, I'm hoping this will be the answer to finally cure it and allow me to have children and be healthy.
