About Me

I have been over weight my WHOLE life even as a toddler.  Did the weight loss rollercoster MANY times - would loose weight and then gain it back and then some.  I have tried EVERY diet pill over the counter and prescription.  Tried every "fad" diet - all with no long term success.  After much research and soul searching I had my GBS on 1/5/2011 - BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE!
Highest weight about 240-WLS Start 218 (2 week pre Op - lost 10 lbs)
Jan:lost 20 lbs -
Feb:lost 11 lbs - March:lost 10 lbs - April:lost 15 lbs - May:lost 9 lbs - June:lost 10 lbs
July:lost 10 lbs - (7/2/11 - made goal - weighed in at 129.5 my goal was 130)
Aug:lost 5 lbs - Sept:lost 4.5 lbs - Oct:lost 0.5 lbs - Nov:lost 3 lbs - Dec:lost 1.5 lbs -
Jan 2012:lost .5
My lowest weight was 108 but now maintaining my weight at 110--115 since Jan 2012!

Total Lost 110-103 - depends on the day!
4/20/2012: I changed the way I think about food - I no longer live to eat! I eat to live! - what this means?  I do not eat for enjoyment I eat becuase I know my body needs the fuel. So by eating to live I do NOT NEED a wide range of differnet things.  I eat the same things every day during the week - it just makes it easier, no guess work this way - I have come to terms to keep enjoying this "new" me that this is just the way it has to be.  I do not need pasta, I do not need white bread, I do not need rice, I do not need any fried foods, I do not need any fatty foods, I do not need that "sweet treat" to live. I need healthy foods that are good for my body and not my taste buds!  I will say I do have different foods on the weekends, still keeping in mind the "rules".
