Smile Hi Roxy,

Welcome to TT and congrats on your decision to have this life saving surgery, good luck with the funding.
I had my surgery done 12 weeks ago and am doing real good as of today i have shed 4 stone so i look and feel like a different person.
Although i didnt go with wls my pod mate did and they were very supportive, they even have staff who travel out to belgium to keep a check on how you are recovering and from what Jo tells me their aftercare is excellent once your back in the uk.
As for the gallbladder i also wanted it removed but due to research and new regulations Dr D stated that he cannot remove a healthy gallbladder, he used to remove all gallbladders but they put a stop to it, so we just have to keep our fingers crossed that we will be problem free post op!!
But like the others all i can say is HE IS FAB!!
Best wishes.
Luv Noonie X

Default Gallbladder removal

Thank you Noonie and good luck with your weight loss although it sounds like you are doing real well to me. I didn't know that stuff about gall bladder removal so thanks for that too!! (perhaps I won't make such a fuss about it now!!) Roxy

I had a call today from Dr. Dillemans' office from another of his assistant doctors. The call was to find out if I was doing well, my loss and any other comments. I gave him all my medical details and reported on how thrilled we all are with the outcome of our surgeries!
Clearly, Dr. D performs a slightly different method on us vs the US variant. Rarely any complications though our loss may be slightly slower and less drastic that in the US. A steady comfortable speed that our bodies and minds can adjust to!
Cheers,
Vim

How cool is that Vim! That's the one thing I always though they were missing and it now seems they've started to correct it.
