Hey Claire

Good to hear you are doing ok - a little discomfort is a good way to be - I know that some people feel a lot worse!

I had my surgery on the 15th of September last year and have lost 157lbs so far. Well, I say so far but really I should say full stop as as I think I've lost enough and am now at my ideal weight of 142lbs.

Congrats on the surgery - I'm sure you'll do great and it's good that you had yours at the same time as Gwen - she is an absolute treasure and will be a great 'podmate'.

Exclamation One of my Podmates!!!

Hi Honey!!!

So glad you found us and welcome to our wonderful world

You're doing great and as Sheree says - a little discomfort is better than some on here - just hang in there and take it easy

Dennis is great and I've just spoken to him - he sends his love xxx

How is your Mum? - Please say hi from us

I spoke to Kim last week (I think it was Monday) and she is doing great - she is taking her daughter early in November to visit Dr D

PS: Although your photo is beautiful it doesn't do you justice - you are much prettier in real life!!!

Keep in touch

Hi everyone

Weekly update. After only losing 2lbs last week, this week I have lost a further 9lbs - so that makes a total of 19lbs in 3 weeks. It is weird because all week I did not feel as if I was losing much weight at all - all very odd! I still feel as if I have been dieting and I suppose this is what they call dealing with 'head-hunger' and I think I am now adjusting to this. Anyway, I am really pleased with the progress so far and my faith in myself and the surgery is being restored.

I am posting my weekly weight loss so as to help myself keep a good track and to help others too, both pre-op or post. I have benefited from reading others stories before my op and believe that the more different experiences written about, the better.

Hope everyone is feeling good. I am still feeling great, no problems with food or well-being - just beginning to enjoy life positively!

Cheers!

Hi loulou

Great to have you on board! Don't worry about a thing babe, Dr D and this surgery are the total biz. I don't know if you've also seen this UK forum -http://www.wlsinfo.org.uk/ but this also has great advice, not to mention a great before and after gallery. I am sure everyone will advise the same - the more research the better!

Good luck with everything and looking forward to sharing your journey.

Cheers!

thanks for writing back and making me feel so welcome on here.
I have just been sitting with my mum and we have had a look at the site you suggested. some of the before and after photos are amazing and it definately gives you hope. Although with this surgery you know you will lose weight there is always that niggling thought in your head that maybe your body is supposed to be this big! I know it is silly and deep down you know its not true but it is still one of those stupid negative thoughts you have!lol

Anyone else or is it just me?
