I had surgery on February 9th 2011. I wasn't doing well with my eating for quite some time. But, I got back on track last month (managed to lose weight, too (surprise, surprise)).

Here is my concern: For months I would wake up with EXTREME nausea. Thinking it was my diet, I went back to eating like I was supposed to...

and I am still nauseous....

My surgeon hinted to me that it might be in my head.

It is actually to the point where I would get nauseous randomly through out the day. This has been happening for a few weeks now.

Here is what I have been eating (this is today for example): breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with 3 tbsp of 1% milk, 4 tbsp salsa, 1/4 cup of low fat shredded cheese, and 2 tbsp ranch and an orange. Snack: apple. Lunch: 4oz of ground turkey (93% lean), cauliflour that is mashed with very little butter, onions and garlic. Snack: carrots and some dip Dinner: plain, non-fat 6oz Greek yogurt with cinnamon mixed in and a packet of sweet-n-low (I know sweet-n-low is lab created and awful for you... but the yogurt is gross without it!), and a string mozzarella cheese stick. I am trying to stay under 1200 calories and get in 90-100 grams of protein (VERY difficult)... I keep dairy to a minimum, so protein shakes are way out of question seeing I am lactose intolerant. And my body can't handle sugar or most starch so I get absolutely nothing of either. I hate artificial sweeter with a passion but can't have yogurt without it. 2 a day tops. And finally, I won't eat anything in the ingredient label in which I can't pronounce or contains sugar or sweetner.....

WITH ALL THAT SAID!!!

What am I doing wrong? I have been sick all day today. It is getting worse. and the worst part is it's APPARENTLY in my head!(?????) I don't think it is. I am literally so sick at times that i become paralyzed and I can't move!

Also, I am taking daily and weekly vitamins. calcium citrate x3, biotin x1, b-complex x1, iron x1 (Dr said i am deficient and needed it), multi-vitamin x3... and weekly I take b12 nasal spray and d3 (I was deficient so I am on it). I think I'm doing right??!! What do I do?

It's getting progressively worse as days go by...

I had a similar feeling when I was developing an ulcer. Perhaps you could ask your surgeon or PCP to prescribe a ppi (acid reducer) temporarily to see if that provides some relief.

You know your body. If he doesn't listen be clear that you expect him to. If he still doesn't, I would look for someone else. You should be a partner in your health care and seeing as how it's YOUR body you are with all day every day, no one knows it better than you, even your doc. If you go in with a suggestion (taking a ppi to see if it may be nausea caused by an ulcer or some other increased stomach acid) he may be more likely to listen and respond. Good luck, I hope a ppi helps you feel better. BTW, good job getting back on track eating what you're supposed to...;)
