I am now navigating the waters of exclusive breastfeeding while still fairly restricted on what I can eat and am itching to get back in the gym, which may make things more complicated as well. We will figure it out though!

So, a few weeks ago I had my baby
I was concerned about the pregnancy because I wasn't very far post-op when I accidentally got pregnant. I had surgery in Sept 2010 and got pregnant at the end of April 2011. I started my pregnancy at 142, was 149 on the day I had my baby (he was about 8 1/2 lbs) and am already now down to 129 at about 2 weeks postpartum. This seems insane to me because the original goal given to me by my surgeon was 156 and my goal was to get to 136, which puts me at a normal BMI. I am thrilled that I ended up having a very healthy baby, my healthiest pregnancy (no hypertension or anything this time around!), and to top it off I have ended up below goal. I was very careful about nutrition while pregnant and tried to make every bite count. So, while I did not gain much for weight, everything I did gain went to make a very healthy little guy.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY TRYING ON MY OWN I WAS WHERE YOU WERE. I 2 AM 5-2, STARTED AT 254 LBS. EXERCISING IN THE GYM . MY FIRST DAY WAS A 20 MINUTE STRUGGLE, FOR A WEEK I DID 20 MINUTES A DAY FOR 5 DAYS. THE NEXT WEEK I BUMPED IT UP TO 30 MINUTES. BY THE END OF THE MONTH I WAS DOING AN HOUR A DAY FOR 5 DAYS A WEEK. THAN THEY STARTED AEROBICS AT MY CHURCH ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS EVENING AND I ADDED THAT AS WELL AS THE GYM 5 DAYS. A YEAR LATER I ADDED SATURDAY MORNING AEROBICS AS WELL. I DROPPED A COUPLE OF SIZES FROM A 20/22 TO A 16/18. STILL NEEDED HELP. HAD THE LAP BAND IN DECEMBER 2008. MY LOWEST WEIGHT AFTER THAT WAS 168LBS. AFTER JOB CHANGES AND ILLINESSES AND KNEE PAIN, NO GYM. I BOUNCED BACK UP TO 193LBSS. THATS WHEN I HAD A REVISION TO THE BY PASS. NOW I AM BACK TO 168LBS. S-T-I-L-L STRUGGLINGGGGGGGGG. ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYONE. FEEL SO LOST.!!!!!!!! CONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR BLESSING AND YOUR JOURNEY.
