Stitch Pain In My Left Side !

Hi all im 10 days post op and im on puree / soft food.
When ever I eat of an evening I ma suffering with really
strong stitch pain in my left side. It stays with me right through
until the morning and then during the day seems to go away.
Is this normal ? Am I eating too much ? Is it really only wind ?
Becasue it really hurts. Can anyone help with this.

The left side is where they put the bit cutting/stapling machine and it's not unusual for that area to be a little more painful post-op.

This is something I'd suggest you put a call into your surgeon about - that's what they're there for babe and it's always better to air on the side of caution - especially as it's going on through the night and it's more than just a twinge of pain.

9/24/07 - Lap. - RNY with umbilical hernia repair
10/27/08 - Open - removal of omental mass, gallbladder, appendix, adhesions
11/12/10 - Open - bilateral femoral hernia repair

i have that often -  personally i think mines down to a combo of inhaling to much air when i eat and maybe eating a little quickly as im still adjusting to slowing down

Mine ended up being an infection.  I would recommend you have it checked just in case.
