7 Months Post-Op. How Many Calories?

4 posts in this topic

'm 7 months post-op. I was wondering how many calories people have been advised that they should be on at this stage. I was on between 800 - 900 up until recently - but have found that I'm skipping around the 1,000 + mark with little effort. I've had the VSG but keen to hear from anyone here at TT Bypass or Sleevers.

I was told by my doctor that after the 2 month mark I was to eat 1000 to 1200 calories until I reach my weight goal, and exercise 30 minutes 4 times a week. I am trying to eat right and get at least the 1000 a day right now at 10 weeks out. My weight lose has dropped to about 3 lbs a week which is ok, even though I really liked losing 5 lbs a week.

My bariatric center recommends around 800 calories, carbs 40 or less, and protein 60 or more (80 or more if 5'6" or taller) for the first 12 months.
