So, I figure Red Bull is out now... Darn it, I really liked those...

Has anyone tried 5 Hour Energy? I know it's basically a huge shot of B Vitamins, but I guess it's the psychological effect of drinking an "energy drink" that does it.

It actually has quite a bit of caffeine, no carbonation...I havent had it since the surgery, so I am wondering if I can tolerate it...

That kind of thing usually has a ton of caffeine which is a no no for our pouches. Plus some of those energy drinks have tons of sugar. You might do better just taking a B complex or B12 supplement.

Twoterville!! 5/2/11 (first time below 300 in over 10 yrs!)

Don't trade what you want most, for what you want at the moment.

Well I suppose I should have put all this up top:

According to their web site: "*DECAF 5-HOUR ENERGY contains 6mg of caffeine * about as much as a half cup of decaffeinated coffee."

They also make a point to say there's low or no sugar in it - in fact the label lists "Sucralose" as the sweetener, which is an artificial sweetener. I know those cause their own issues, however... ;)

Yes, and I like it and it worked for me. I was driving back from out of town and became really sleepy. Stopped to use the bathroom and there it was: 5hr. I waited for any side effects and nada. I drank half a bottle(the stuff is terrible tasting) a couple of miles down the rode and I was jamming until my front door.
As much as I would like to use on the regular basis..I'm not! I have a addicted personality and do not want to go down that road.

Would I recommend it based on my experience---HECK YES!

I get them from time to time and have no issues. Before surgery I could drink a whole one and be good for hours. Now I drink a half of one and I am wired the entire day. :P

I drank one once & it turned my whole body really red for at least an hour. It was weird I did get a good buzz from it but haven't tried it again. I looked really sun burnt, but it was from the drink.
