I am officially recruiting volunteers for the development phase of the "Afterthefat" program.

This program is for those who are typically 18 month or more post op. The focus is maintaining the extraordinary weight loss, kick start more weight loss after a stall or to reduce weight gained after surgery.

I need volunteers who are willing to test my theories and ideas so that I can continue the development of my program.

I have a location in Carlsbad, where we can meet on Saturdays. However I am open to distant volunteers as well.

A little background for those of you who do not know my story. I have been leading a peer support group for 4 years in my home and through this experience and through my own journey have discovered many patterns for success and for failures with weight loss surgery and maintaining the weight loss.

I am developing this program to make available this valuable information. I am also becoming certified in fitness and nutrition to be better qualified to work one on one with clients.

This sounds interesting.. will you be working towards something that those of us that live too far away can get involved somehow? I'm so totally stalled, and would love to do something like this.

yes, the end result will be a complete program, hope fully a book/ study guide, audio, maybe DVD, web casts and a web site. Some of these things are in the works right now, but some maybe wishful dreaming...LOL

Since I am in the research phase, I would suggest either trying to come up for the informational meeting tommorow or waiting until the program is available for all. You can do that bit, give your self a chance, you just had a baby....eat healthy and move, there is really no secret...LOL

I wish I lived closer - but I did want to say how wonderful you are for doing this. What an impact you have made in so many lives.

Thnak you for your encouragement, I am nervous about this, but I think its where I need to be. I love helping my fellow staplers and if what I know can be used and shared to better enhance the tool we already have, then I am willing to give it a go.
