Thanks, @BurgundyBoy!! I'm loving the health improvements I've had so far...just waiting for the rest to catch up!!

Yikes...aortic aneurysms are nothing to mess around with!! I hope everything looks good with your ultrasound!!

Thanks Trish... all the prior ones have been fine. Plus now with my BP being so much lower the risks to my aorta must have decreased for me substantially.

It's so fun to read your posts as one problem after another get dealt with or left behind!

Wow Trish wonderful news. Between that and your lower BP these are pretty big NSVs!!

(Am about due to have an abdominal ultrasound -- history of aortic aneurysms in the family -- will have to see if mine has gotten better too!)

Good luck on the ultrasound, BB. I'm sure you're very good about keeping tabs on health issues.

I hope the doctor visits start to taper off. I imagine they will as your body starts to normalize its many systems and your health improves. I suppose that kind of thing doesn't happen overnight, even though the weight loss sort of does. Fainting is probably not a good thing.

Have fun at Six Flags (I love amusement parks). Fright fest sounds good. Boo!

I'm hoping, desperately, that Monday's appointment and the kidney testing will be the last of the "new stuff". I can handle the follow ups with my WLS surgeon, cardio and endo. Those are no biggie. But damn...I swear if anything new pops up, I'm going to scream!! :o

Fright fest should be fun, lol. We love it! Hubby does this very involved "haunted porch" every year, and I will post pics once it's completely finished. He's like a kid in a candy store with the Halloween decorations :)

I'm so glad to hear that your previous ultrasounds have been fine :) You most certainly have lowered your risks to your aorta with your weight loss and lower BP's.

Im pretty happy with the areas of my health that are improving. I'm on the heels of another mini goal...weighing less than hubby! I've never, over the course of our entire relationship, weighed less than he has. I've only got 11 pounds to lose before I reach that goal!! Hehehe:lol:

Lol! I think he does!! I'm actually only 3 pounds heavier right now than I was when we started dating. I had just started climbing the weight gain ladder at that point. Of course back then I didn't have all the loose skin and extra fat around the middle from being heavy for so many years. And I wasn't 50 years old  But he is thrilled with my progress, and he has always loved me no matter what my size. He's just so happy that I'm reducing my health problems and adding years to my life...the happiness is contagious!

I FINALLY heard back from my endocrinologist today (after 2 weeks...) and he said my thyroid bed/lymph node ultrasound came back normal! The spike in my thyroglobulin level is (most likely) due to a bit of malabsorption of my thyroid hormone replacement. The doc already increased my dosage, and I will be retested in 4 weeks.

Now to get the kidney mass diagnosed...I see the urologist on the 9th. Prayers that the lucky streak continues! :D

What incredible news, Trish!!! I am so happy to hear this ...whew!! Keeping you in prayer that the kidney mass is a non event as well. Please keep us posted on how that appointment goes.  :)

Thank you so much, @cinwa!! My appointment is at 2:45, and I will check in later today to let you know what, if any, news I get from the doc today ❤️

Me too...but I've already decided that no matter what he tells me, I'm getting a second opinion, lol. Whether he says it's just a cyst or cancer...off I go, lol. No more messing around with this stuff!!

Thank you, thank you, @Trish13!! Thank you too for the prayers...I'll take all I can get!! I think I've had my share of surgeries and hospital stays/ER visits over the past 18 months, lol. I'll post later with any info I get from the doc today :)

Thank you, @Res Ipsa :)

Here’s what I know right now....The mass on my kidney is partially fluid filled, partially solid. This means that it’s more than a cyst, but not sure if it’s cancerous.  They ordered an ultrasound for January 4th, and they will be checking to see if it has grown or not. If it grows, it’s cancerous and there will be no need for a biopsy. If it doesn’t, they will biopsy it to check for cancer. If it grows even a couple of millimeters, that will mean more surgery and another cancer diagnosis. And as a consolation prize, I get to have a cystoscopy!! Yay!! (Sarcasm noted)

Even though things are still uncertain, it was a positive experience. This was my first time with the new urologist and it was a woman, and she was very nice...and very knowledgeable. She spent almost an hour with me, answering all of my questions and explaining everything to me. So for now, it’s business as usual, and on a good note, I’m down 115 pounds as of this morning!!

Oh and a side note...I found a new snack! Teriyaki flavored roasted seaweed of all things!! Stopped at the Healthy living market after the doctor and decided to walk on the wild side and try something new. I was really surprised, but I love them! :D

Congrats on the negative 115!!!!  Also glad you liked the dr and that she was patient and good at explaining!  Sorry it wasn't something you don't have to be concerned about, but hoping it turns out to be nothing!

Thanks, CJ! I'm glad I liked her too, and that she explained everything so well :) Like I've said in the past, I will only truly worry about it once there is something to be worried about. I'm concerned, of course, but I'm not going to let it drive me crazy (I'm pretty much already there anyway, lol). If it does turn out to be cancer, I got through it once, and I'll get through it again. I really appreciate your concern!!
